This desk is so pretty in person and good quality. I found it very easy to put together by myself, and adjusting the door was fairly easy. I wish the shelf was a 1/2” higher because my legs just skim it when sitting.

I am extremely incompetent when it comes to assembling furniture items, and I found this very straightforward to put together. It took me ~2.5 hours, with a little help from a friend here and there. It's a beautiful desk and higher quality than I was expecting based on the reviews. I do wish it had a shelf inside each side cabinet and that the keyboard drawer slid out, but these are not dealbreakers and I can always manually install shelves myself. Get this desk - it'll make your space look so much more elegant!

This desk is perfect in our small office. We get compliments on it all the time. It wasn’t overly difficult to assemble (it took less than an hour) but at times it was helpful to have two sets of hands. It was well packaged - there was one small spot where the caned design wasn’t connected, but it’s so minor, we decided to keep the desk - someone would really need to be looking for it.

I love my new desk! I was skeptical on what I may get but the color is lovely, the cane is fun and the wood feels very sturdy. It took me a little longer than expected to put it together but it was only because it is well reinforced. I have already caused a couple small dings to the cane and veneer, so I do need to be somewhat careful especially with my rolling chair. There is plenty of storage space. I would have preferred a little more function with a drawer to take advantage of the full depth of the middle shelf and possibly a shelf in one of the side compartments.

I was hesitant to buy this desk because of some of the reviews, but aesthetically speaking, this desk was everything I was looking for. I don’t regret my decision! The instructions were easy to follow and building it wasn’t a challenge. An extra hand does help for some steps, but overall, it was a success! The only reason I wouldn’t give it a full five stars is because of the quality, but it’s what you would expect out of a $300 desk.

Where to begin… the style and concept was initially a win, but as soon as we opened the box we knew it was a mistake. Studio McGee’s product quality control has some serious issues.. it’s an assemble at home desk, and we have built a lot of furniture in our day, but none as bad as this. First there was mismatched wood pieces, painted to look like they were the color of the other wood. Then there were cracks in multiple pieces due to poor construction. They gave us 3 back legs and one front leg. One spot had a thin piece of wood patched over where it broke. One screw hole was missing a metal receiving end. Nothing lined up. There’s sloppy spots of wood stain dripping off the edges. Building this thing literally ruined our day, I will not be purchasing any more furniture from studio McGee’s janky target line again. Target, shame on you this should be discounted and sold as damaged retail.

This desk is adorable. It also couldn’t have been more poorly thought out to work from home. WHY wouldn’t you make that a pull out keyboard tray?? WHY would the manufacturer put stickers that are impossible to remove on the outside of the desk to display?!

I really wanted to love this! It is a cute piece- but I had issues with more than one piece not having the holes for assembly line up correctly, so we had to improvise with an electric drill to make new ones to make it work out, and the rattan was damaged straight out of the box. I also was delivered the wrong piece on first delivery, the other item delivered is much bigger / heavier than the original so I’m not sure how the mix up happened, but scheduling a pick up has been a head ache and they said I couldn’t keep the wrong item and will need to return it, so sort of disappointed with both customer service experiences.

I’ve wanted this desk since it came out. Finally made that jump and I do not regret it. Wish the darker version was available tho but still pretty happy with this purchase. The assembly was fairly easy except when having to attach the cane parts. I can fit my keyboard and then some in that middle space. Lots of storage with this desk.
