A: Hi - yes, these are specialty GU24 base bulbs. This lamp comes with four bulbs GU24 base bulbs that are each equivalent to 75 watt bulb, which equals 300 watts in total output. You might be able to locate other GU24 base bulbs with higher lumens output, but they may be too large for the design.

The lamp is sturdy, with a heavy base that keeps it from tipping over. Large glass top with multiple bulbs for maximum coverage. This lamp could be used in any room of the house.
