The Play and Charge Kit for Xbox includes two 1100 mAh rechargeable batteries for up to 40 hours of gameplay with an Xbox Wireless Controller.* With the flexibility to charge while in controller or out, you can either keep a backup battery charged and ready, or power up a 2-player gaming session. Q: so, the only way to charge these is through connecting them with Xbox? can we charge them the same way we charge cell phones? I don't want to keep my Xbox on just to charge these.

Q: If you plug the it in with the usb cable, will it only charge the batteries or will it power then entire controller as well as charging the batteries?

Q: How the heck does it work with Series S if it's "Micro USB". The Series S is "USB-C" and my other micro USB play and charge from Xbox One doesn't fit.

They were easy to put right into the controller and charged up with no issues. It makes gaming way better, and it’s cheaper than constantly changing the batteries!

I have bought many play and charge kits from many brands. Including the xbox branded ones. These have outlasted them all. Glad I finally found their company again.

I bought a brand new Xbox Seris X/S controller and this charge kit. The battery fits in with a little effort. However, this kit requires using the included battery cover, and the tabs that are supposed to lock in the battery cover are spaced further apart than the slots on the controller, and thus can't slide in. You also can't use the controller's original cover because of the protuding section of the battery.

These little things are great for controllers. This particular battery pack is decent, but I feel as though they don't last as long as they probably should. Compared to just normal non-rechargeable batteries in a controller, these are good because you don't need to buy new batteries. You just plug them in and game. I routinely get around 3 to 6 hours before I need to charge these battery packs again, which is pretty good. Overall, I'd recommend these simply for the fact that they're convenient and easy to use.

Not my first time with PowerA batteries. The first time I bought a charging station the batteries that came with the package did not last what I was expecting, but I dont know the lifespan of the product. So I bought the extra capacity batteries, the orange ones. Those lasted like 3 years. For me that more than enough!! Bought the charge and play package and batteries dont change completely. I have left them chaege for multiple hours to find out they are not really charged when I sit down to play.

I can easily swap between both of them and they charge and last a long time. They fit on my Xbox controller perfectly!
