submitted byAllied Home - 4 years agoBrand expertA: Between the two. It's a bit bouncier, not firm but doesn't flatten out easily. I was able to put it on my sleeper sofa's mattress and still fold it into the sofa, barely, if that tells you anything.

Q: How can this fit an xl twin if it's only 39 inches long? 80 wide makes no sense.

A: Hello Nancy, Thank you for reaching out. The dimensions of a TXL mattress are indeed 39 inches W x 80 inches L. I see the listing has the dimensions reversed "39 Inches (L), 80 Inches (W)" The Twin XL Powernap Mattress Pad is the correct TXL size and should fit nicely on a TXL mattress. Q: Does this heat up when you sleep on it? Or, does it have cooling properties. I read the "infared blah blah" language but have no idea what that means. Thanx.

A: Thanks for reaching out to us. No the mattress does not cool. This mattress pad has restorative properties helping with blood flow and recovery. It basically uses thermoregulation to speed up recovery in your muscles. It does not heat up though. Thank you

I love this mattress cover. It’s soft yet firm enough where I don’t feel like I’m sinking too much. I did get warm at times, but I keep my room cool while I sleep so it works out perfectly. I would buy another one if I had another bed!

It isn't overly soft to where it makes you hot, but soft enough to take away the pressure points. It fit my queen size well and was ventilated on the sides. It seems very well made and looks lime the stitching will last. It's very nice and clean looking and will save my mattress from stains. It's washable so with 3 kids and pets makes everything easier.

I don't really like having the pillow beneath my knees or hips but my back would hurt when I got up in the morning. This is a great solution. It makes my body feel level and even while sleeping while giving me some slight relief on my hips and back, since I am not just laying flat. The material is super fluffy but not lumpy. It's very lightweight and breathable which I really like since I sleep hot. It's very comfortable and helps me feel cozy while I sleep. Best of all, I don't feel sore in the mornings.

We have a pillow-top mattress already, but it is quite worn down so this mattress pad adds that extra cushion layer back for much cheaper than purchasing a brand new mattress. It is easy to put on and stays in place pretty well, even though my husband moves around a lot in his sleep.

The sides of the pad are mesh and the mesh helps the product breathe. The skirt is supposed to stretch to fit up to an 18 inch mattress, but my mattress is 16" and the sides of the skirt pull up, so I would say around 14 inches for a solid fit around all sides would be more accurate. The border trim of the pad is a little pulled up when it was first laid out but after a few nights of use, it leveled out. While not a perfect fit for my mattress, it is functioning as intended so far and I am very satisfied with the improved comfort it provides.

After reading all the wonderful reviews I was excited to receive this mattress topper. Ultimately it's just too hot for me. I keep waking up in the middle of the night sweating. The loft is nice though I wouldn't exactly describe it as sleeping on a cloud. Unfortunately after a month it's going in the trash. It slides a little on the top of the mattress but not annoyingly so.
