A lightweight, sunscreen fluid that provides optimal protection while supporting the skin’s moisture barrier. Formulated with organic UV filters, rice phytomolecules, ethyl ferulate, and microalgae to boost antioxidant protection. Developed for all skin tones with a moisturizing finish.

Q: Is It safe for rosacea? I have VERY VERY sensitive skin where my rosacea is (cheeks, nose, chin) and I have had a SUPER hard time trying to find a sunscreen that doesn't hurt my face.

I have tried this sunscreen for over a month and I had really high hopes for it. It doesn’t have an offensive smell. It has a fluid texture. I liked the PA++++ rating. It leaves no white cast but it’s a chemical sunscreen anyways. I really dislike the finish of this product. It makes me look so greasy and oily even after letting it settle on the skin for 30 minutes. I do not wear makeup and don’t like the extra step of having to use a setting powder to use this product. This product also has poor water and sweat resistance so I can’t use it in the summer when it’s above 100° for four months in the summer. The product also makes me break out and stings my eyes.

I wanted to love this product. Sometimes with chemical sunscreens I’ll get watering of my eyes even with not putting it near my eyes. That’s what I experienced with this one. However for those with not such a sensitivity, this product applies evenly with no white cast. It did have quite a shine to it even after drying down. It did not seem to exacerbate my rosacea.

I have been using this for a month, I am 51 and have rosacea- and I am sensitive to zinc so mineral sunscreens are out but has been challenging finding a chemical based sunscreen that is effective but not too harsh. This checks all the boxes! I work outside 40 hours a week and with a hat and this sunscreen and it has helped my rosacea not flare up as much in the California sun.

This is a really nice SPF! It's very light, goes on easily, and if you let it dry down for 10 or 15 minutes, you can apply makeup pretty well over it. I still find it too shiny for my liking, so I wish it was a bit more of a matte or velvet finish. However, I can still use it if I let it dry properly and then use a makeup primer over it. Dr Ellis provides such great content so I am happy to support her brand!

I’ve used so many sunscreens, and this is definitely one of the best! I usually use KraveBeauty’s sunscreen but the Prequel is a more moisturizing option and I love it for days I need a little extra moisture! It’s so amazing, I’ll definitely be purchasing again

Confused about the bad reviews because this is my favorite chemical sunscreen. It reminds me of the Korean sunscreens, so milky and moisturizing and instantly soaks into my combination (leaning dry) skin. It’s worth a try!

I love, love, love this product. It's better than the Beauty of Joseon, especially after they reformulated. It's non-greasy and wears great under makeup. I sometimes add a bit of Makeup by Mario Bronzing and Shaping Serum to it, and voila--no need for foundation!

I absolutely love prequel but this product wasn’t meant for my skin type. (Oily) I love the way the sunscreen applies. It’s so smooth and blends in well. But the finish is very shiny and doesn’t work for me. I also did get a couple breakouts but that could be coincidence. Combo, normal, or dry skin would probably love this though and it’s worth a try. Love you though prequel ❤️❤️

This was my go to SPF and I’m on my 4th bottle, however I’ve seemed to develop a sensitivity to it where about 8 hours into the day my face turns red, hot and itchy. I’ve only worn it sporadically lately (when I know I’m going to be outside) and these are the days where I have this sensitivity problem. Until this, I was so happy with this product. The texture was amazing and was just overall a perfect SPF. Did Prequel release if there was a bad batch a few months ago or anything? It just seems weird that after using this product for 3 full bottles that the 4th would suddenly give me a reaction. It really bums me out man. Every other product I’ve tried from Prequel has been consistently great on the other hand.

I usually love prequel’s products so I’m bummed this didn’t work for me. I’ll probably use the rest on my body and try to find another facial sunscreen—the texture is nice though.

I love the initial application of this product. But… :( as the day progressed I had burning in my eyes, which was odd bc I didn’t put it on or around my eyes which meant it migrated somehow. Later that night I had dry patches and tightness. Which again, was odd bc I have very oily skin. Sunscreen is the last step in my routine and I don’t put make up on. I skipped it the next day and I had none of those issues. Sad, bc I really wanted to love this product.
