We had quite a runaround with this light, but when we finally got it installed, we like it enough to buy another one. The first one we bought, the ends of the arms would not extend beyond about a 30-degree angle, like it was assembled incorrectly and there was some kind of stop. We had to send that back and wait for another one. (The return process is easy.) The instructions are not good for a DIYer. If you want to add the drop extensions, you have to unwrap the wires and disassemble the top of the lamp to pull the wires through the extension pieces before you screw the whole light back together and re-connect the wiring. HOT TIP: while you've got the light disassembled, install the plain canopy on the ceiling temporarily so you can adjust the mounting screws more easily to get the canopy flush before you wire everything up and try to install. Our install was difficult (took 4 hours with breaks for thinking and cussing) because we have a plaster ring in the ceiling that prevented the mounting screw from adjusting to the appropriate height, and we had to cut one of the mounting screws to get it all to fit.

Perfect for our kitchen. We bought this to replace a box Florescent tube fixture. The box was about 12” y’all and we needed a fixture that would hang low enough that the individual lights could light up the areas in the kitchen. This fits perfectly and is fully adjustable.
