Cremo Original Shave Cream - 6 fl oz

This used to be a great product. I’ve been buying it for maybe 10 years. But something changed when the packaging changed. It’s not as thick, not as rich, you have to use more, and it doesn’t last as long. It seems watered down in what I can assume was a bad decision to make it more cheaply, and it shows. (Whoever made the decision must not actually use the product.) It’s still ok, but nothing special and I’ll no longer buy it. There is more competition and choice than ever in men’s shaving and this brand is no longer special or relevant. :-(

I bought this product a few years ago after Gillette stopped making their extremely similar advanced shave cream. Cremo’s texture was extremely thick and was not irritating. Lo and behold I went to the store the other day to resupply and these idiots have changed the formula of an excellent product. This new formula is watery and smells weird. It also 100% gives me pimples. I wonder if there’s a comedogenic grease that they added or maybe a bacterial contamination in this new garbage product.

I've been using Cremo's Original Shave Cream for years, but the new "Classic Citrus" scent is off-putting. I really wish they had stuck with the original formula. I'll be trying something else in the meantime.

The scent changed when the packaging changed from Red. The scent is different, the scent is much stronger and the scent stays on my face longer. This was my shaving cream for at least a decade, but now I am looking for something else.

I'm apparently in the minority, but I didn't find the citrus scent pleasant or very citrusy, despite lemon extract being one of the ingredients. It worked OK, but was difficult to rinse off. I won't buy it again.

I been using this shave cream forever and I'm convinced it the best. Best bang for the dollar which doesn't hurt !

This is the only shave cream my man and I buy! We did try all the other fancy scents, to include sensitive, but original fir whatever reason always works the best. I will say, him and I had a discussion about the "class citrus" rebrand, he says it's different, I say it's the same.

The product the lead me to this company years ago is the now same product that will push me away from this company. I won't be purchasing Cremo until I see the Original formula back on the shelves and not this Classic Citrus. I would have gladly paid more for the product that I have used for years, but instead you changed the formula and marketed it as the same. I feel betrayed as a consumer and will search again for a comparable product. You lost a customer.

What a disappointment. This is not the original Cremo shaving cream. Not even close. It's more runny, not as thick. It doesn't lather, nor lubricate, like the original. It doesn't even smell like the original. A tube of this new version certainly isn't going to last as long as the previous product. What was once one the best shaving cream products on the market is now one of the worst. Cremo's new pseudo-Original is just a rip-off given the volume, consistency and performance. Rather dishonest, disingenuous and duplicitous of Cream to mislead their customers by claiming it is 'the original", This previous original product was thick and lathered well, and small amount would suffice. Not any more. Now it's runny and watery. Not even close the original lather and shaving performance. The tubes are only about half full with the remainder being air. With the previous product version the tubes were full, always. Why they changed the formulation is beyond reason. They changed the packaging too, which is typical when companies ruin their perfect product. Finding a better shaving cream won't be too difficult now. This new Cremo "Original" is horrible, it really sucks, its just plain bad. Cremo referring to it as their "original" is simply a blatant lie. Sadly, the previous product was one of the best on the market., until Cremo ruined it. I probably won't be using Cremo products any longer. Cremo, the company that takes a perfectly good product, one of the best on the market, and ruins it, then lies about it. If they did this with their original shaving cream, I hate to think what they will do to their blades. Maybe they've already ruined those too and I just have a few of the original good ones remaining. I ordered two tubes of this poor quality product late last year. I recently started using it a couple days ago, I will toss them both. What a waste. What a travesty to ruin one of the best products on the market for no good reason whatsoever.

Mediocre at best. Bring back the old “classic “ with the original formula. You are losing customers - like me. You ruined a terrific product. No more Cremo until I see Classic back on the shelves.

Once upon a time Cremo was a great product. But it has become a joke of itself. Shaving with the latest version of Cremo is horrible. You would get more comfortable shave with the bar soap, than with this shaving cream.

Significant decline in quality from the Classic to whatever citrus junk this is. I depended on Cremo for top-tier shaving cremes but now my search is on for a replacement. They might claim it is the same but it is far from it.

Reformulated and not nearly as good as the original product. Ingredient comparison between the original and the new packaging is different. Product consistency is not the same, and is definitely inferior to the original. Time to look for another brand.

Along with the new packaging, Cremo changed the formula of the original. The new version is horrendous. The Original formula was thick and creamy, and actually heard on the your face. This new stuff is half separated straight out of the tube, and is so watery and weak it’s laughable. Comparing the ingredient labels, they went from 22 ingredients to 28. While many of them are the same, something is obviously off. I’m sure the new formula is half a percent cheaper to produce, but at the cost of at least one decade plus costumer.

I’ve been using Cremo for years now, and loved it right until they replaced their “Original shave cream” with a knock off formula.

Cremo Cooling Formula has changed. It was a previously first rate product but it is now a third rate imitation. I have no reason to buy it anymore. I’ll pay more for a product that works.

Is my first time buying this brand, first on price is way too high, 2nd, when spread on beard doesn't feel as protective as Gillette brands as Gillette Labs or even Gillette Foamy, I also used Barbasol shave cream u feel protective and glides with secure skin, Gillette Labs has even vitamins in the shave or gels, but u feel different and more coating on the skin to protect skin. I bought 2 thinking better than Gillette Labs but not any better, is way too expensive using Cremo, would not be satisfying. All beards are different but mine oily sensitive. Not for me.
