Q: What ingrediant in this tea prevents use if allergic to aspirin?
A: Thank you for reaching out! Meadowsweet is the herb that is the basis for the aspirin and salicylate cautions on our Turmeric Meadowsweet & Ginger tea. The caution does not apply to turmeric or ginger. As always, we recommend chatting with your healthcare provider as they can provide you with the best advice based on your unique health background. Thanks again!

Q: Does this have any type of carbs in it?
A: This tea has little to no carbs present. Most of our teas are classified by the FDA as dietary supplements, so details about nutrients in our teas can be found on the side panel under “Supplement Facts.” A very small portion of our teas are classified as foods, so nutritional information would instead be found on the side panel under “Nutrition Facts.” If you do not see carbohydrates listed, or you see the carbs listed as “0g”, that means there are little to no carbs present. Here’s why; the FDA requires that, for dietary supplements, if an amount of carbs is less than .5 grams per serving, the amount must not be declared. Conversely, if you are looking at one of our products with a “Nutrition Facts” panel, the FDA requires that carbs must be declared even if the amount is zero (in foods, “zero” carbs is defined as less than .5 grams per serving). We hope this information is helpful.

Q: Where is this tea sourced from? Where is it planted, grown, and harvested?
A: I found this on the Trad Med website- “Our turmeric must contain no less than 2.5% essential oils. To achieve this, we partner with growers and collectors who follow organic, non-GMO practices and typically source from locations where the herbs have traditionally grown. Once we receive our herbal ingredients, our team tests every batch to confirm that the species identity, purity, concentration of essential oils, taste, and smell meet our specifications.”
