Dove Beauty Sensitive Skin Moisturizing Fragrance-Free Beauty Bar Soap

What happened to the soap? I just opened a new pack and It's supposed to be fragrance free, but now it stinks, smells like old crayons, and it's slimy and hard to wash off. I have been using the fragrance free soap since it first came out. I guess this was a way to make it cheaper while still raising the price. Now I'm stuck with 16 stinky bars....Time to change to a different brand.

I have been using Dove Sensitive Skin soap for over 20 years (recommended by my OBGYN). Over the past couple of months, I have noticed that my overall skin including private parts have been extremely dry and itchy. I have never had problems with this soap until now and have had to visit my OBGYN for severe itching. I also have an upcoming appointment with my dermatologist as my neck looks like I am getting eczema. My husband and children has also shared that their skin is vey dry. My teenage son has had an increase in facial acne. Please, Please, Please go back to the original sensitive skin unscented formula. This new one has really messed our skin up. I know have to find a new sensitive skin soap.

I have been using this soap since 2021. This is the only soap I have been able to year the last four years. The new formulation causing extreme burning and irritation. I had to go to urgent care because my private parts were on fire. I have been to the doctor three times because of this. They are still not back to normal. Reading through the reviews, it seems a lot of your customers agree. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed with this formula change. Now I have no clue what soap I will be able as majority of soaps I have tried irritate my sensitive skin. Do better Unilever. You guys always tend to ruin good products that don’t need fixing. You did the same thing ruining the Simple Micellar Water skincare line back in 2020!!!!

Change it back! This new formula has made my skin dry, itchy and irritated and has aggravated my eczema. I have been using Dove Sensitive Skin for over 20 years - since my doc recommended it when I was in high school. Please bring back the original formula. This one is TERRIBLE.

This rating used to be 5 stars but like SO many others I have been a long time customer of this product, using it and LOVING IT for literally all of my adult life. Sometime within the last year I opened a new package and immediately started suffocating due to how unpleasantly bad and drastically different it smelled, like a rotten crayon. I assumed it was a spoiled batch but had the same problem no matter where I tried to buy it. The worst part is it does not clean me properly anymore and my hygiene and body odor has suffered greatly and is becoming a huge problem in my life now. Body odor has literally never been an issue for me due to the old sensitive skin bar working so effectively but now I can't wash properly because the new bar is so SLIMY it doesn't even rinse off easily. Thankfully I found the remains of an almost finished bar from the old formula and there is a night and day difference between the smell and quality. I have been hanging onto it for dear life, even though I just have the tiniest speck of it left I would rather use that than the new bars, and it's temporarily restoring my hygiene again. DOVE PLEASE FIX THIS or you will permanently lose me as a lifelong customer. I feel like a sim who can't bring my hygiene bar out of the red because of how bad this soap is now. In these dystopian times we are living in, the LEAST we deserve is a SOAP THAT WORKS that we already had for so many years!!! You are punishing loyal customers who have paid you so much money over so much time and this is just not okay.

I've used Dove bar soap for years, I bought a large pack, I didn't need it right away, and can't return it because I don't remember where I bought it...It smells absolutely awful! What happened to that good smell?? Any chance all these bad reviews will make Dove change it back? Why change something was good, to this horribleness? I can't even stand having this around, it's all going in the trash.

I’ve been using this soap for almost 20 years, but it now breaks me out and feels like tiny bugs are biting me all over. I don’t know what in the formula changed, but I do know I’m not the only one who’s having this reaction. I’m very sad to have to switch brands after all this time.

I’ve purchased this soap a zillion times and recently I felt like something had changed (my skin was burning, itching, etc.). Lo and behold I found out they changed their formula. I’m so sad I’ll never be able to use this soap again. So disappointing!!

Something has changed, this soap smells rancid or like stagnant water. What did you all do?

What happened? I’ve used this product for years but the newest batch smelled awful. I thought it was a one off but even a second purchase from a different drug store smells rancid. The entire point is it’s fragrance free? I’m too scared to put it anywhere near my body.

What happened to Dove Sensitive? It smells DISGUSTING!!! I put one of my leftover bars next to the new bars I just opened and noticed the smell immediately. Horrible !! This is the same company who makes Lever 2000. They changed that after 25 years of me using it. I knew Dove wasn't far behind !! What is wrong with these companies changing formula after all these years !!!

Unscented, perfect sensitive skin bar. I feel SO clean with this bar, and I know it won't irritate my skin at all.

The reformulation is amazing!!! Have been using it for a week now and my skin is glowing and soo smooth and hydrated!!! I wasn’t able to have the same results with the masking fragrance formula this however is TRULY FRAGRANCE FREE!! I love it! I will recommend to everyone !

CHANGE THE FORMULA BACK NOW….. MANY USERS RELIED ON THE OLD FORMULA AS A FACE WASH NOW WE NEED TO FIND AN NON EXISTENT ALTERNATIVE. dove count your days….

Wow! I don’t have any issues with the reformulated bar. It’s fragrance-free and works fine. I was unable to use the old bar with masking fragrance. The texture is different but I think this bar is great.

For the past month my ezcema has SKY ROCKETED. After 2 derm visits, a scheduled patch test, and a heavy round of steroids, my eczema STILL has gotten worse. In places I’ve NEVER gotten eczema in my 33 years of life. (Including Genital region where NO PRODUCTS touch other than soap and rag) Then this morning I thought, did dove change their formula or something? Then I come Here to check, and behold, THEY DID. RECENTLY. This sucks. you tried to fix something that WASNT broken. I’ve used sensitive skin dove for the past 12 years. Not anymore.

I have been using Dove Sensitive for more years than I can remember. The change to this bar soap from 'unscented' to 'fragrance free' has been detrimental to my skin and skin care routine. The new formulation has a smell so overpowering I had to remove them all from my home. They were causing me to have a migraine. I'm so disappointed in this change.

The soap smells absolutely rancid. It’s extremely frustrating as I’ve just bought a large pack after running out of the one I had. They all smell like that. It’s disgusting and I’m going to have to toss the whole multipack. I’ve been using this same soap for five years. What did you all DO TO IT!??
