"If Rumi is the most-read poet in America today, Coleman Barks is in good part responsible. His ear for the truly divine madness in Rumi's potrey is truly remarkable."-- Huston Smith, author of "The World's Religions""In this...delightful treasury, Barks sparklingly demonstrates once again why his free-form interpertations of [Rumi's] poetry...have been a major impetus for the current Rumi vogue."-- "Publishers Weekly"

Such a good starter book for anyone looking to read Rumi or ecstatic poetry! He is so drunk and full of love for our source. You can feel it reading these simple poems. And Coleman Barks is by far the most gifted translator of his works. I've bought this version 3 times over the years. Just get it!
