The Remo Kid's Percussion Rain Forest Floor Tom can be played with hands, mallets, or sticks. Compared to the Gathering Drum, the Remo Floor Tom is smaller in size and higher in pitch. However, the Floor Tom's more compact size makes it just right for individual drummers and imaginative team players. The Floor Tom can be used in combination with any of the other Remo Kid's Percussion instruments to create a kids' drum circle. Drum circles are a wonderful way for a group of children to experience the importance of teamwork and discipline while building listening skills that will continue to benefit them throughout their lives.

The drum was a little smaller than expected, but puts out a great sound and is nicely decorated. It's big enough for two students to take turns and appears to be sturdy enough to use in the classroom for a long time.

This is a great drum. It is very sturdy and strong. It is nice and loud and perfect for children who like to make a lot of noise.
