I used these to reorganize my back porch collection of garden tools after my new kittens scattered everything around and showed me how inadequately they had been stored. The 3.5 gallon trugs are great for storing hand tools and shoes. Now everything is organized on the floor and the kittens can enjoy the windowsill without knocking my stuff down.
I had all of the colors for many years, no deterioration.

I have a black rubber Tub Trug from probably 15 years ago that has a more rubber like feel and the thing is indestructible, or close to it. It has handled everything I have ever done to it with ease and looks new. The colored trugs from the past 10 years or so are made from a more plastic like material that is a bit more flexible but has less recoil/recovery; if the trug is left sitting in a partially compressed or deformed position for a bit, it will take on that shape, which the original model would never do. The newer material is also far less durable in terms of longevity, though it is sturdy enough at first and works hard the first few years. I have had handles on the newer trugs snap right in half, and one trug split down the side. Still useful, but better bought on sale because this is not a lifetime product.

I bought some several years ago and the plastic was thick and of good quality. They have really stood up. So I ordered some last season again and I am really disappointed with the quality now. The plastic is thinner and lighter weight. Yet, ended up paying more for them. Really disappointed.
I would buy this again

I have two of these am delighted with how useful they are in all seasons. In the summer they tote organic fertilizer, in the winter food for wildlife. Being able to carry two at a time is a boon.

I love my trugs! Every size! The 3 /12 gal size is great for when I walk through my gardens and find a weed here or there, I toss them in the little trug. I also use this size when I'm harvesting my squash and tomatoes. It's big enough and easy to carry. They wash out well and take a lot of beating. Sometimes I use this size as a watering can when I water my raised beds. I'm petite and find this size very handy for the jobs around the gardens.

It is sturdy and will hold a lot of potatoes, apples and other heavy garden vegetables. It can be cleaned up easily. Hoping it lasts a very long time as I hate to buy plastic products that cannot be recycled.

I bought this for gathering produce from the garden and have ended up using it for many things. Right now it's at our front door with a couple ours of shoes that I wear over and over. I have used it to clean out the car, pick up rocks, pick up pine cones, etc. I will be ordering more.

We use Tubtrugs to carry everything. We carry all sorts of stuff in them -- tools, water, soil, rocks, and bits and pieces. We have 5-gallon and 3-gallon Tubtrugs. The small ones are great for hauling water to pour on plants. The large ones will carry a LOT of weight, altho we killed one by carrying too many rocks in it. The excessive weight caused a number of vertical cracks (from the stress), so we can't use it to haul water but we still use it to carry stuff. They are indestructible. Love them!
I would buy more for other uses too!!!

I love how sturdy and yet floppy this bucket is. It's so easy to grab and fill up with veggies then clean out when you're done 😁
