It’s easy to use and honestly a lot of fun to mess around with as somebody who isn’t a professional. I would recommend this type of painting products to all types of artists.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gelatos Iridescent 15 peice set is an easy and fun gel "paint" stick to use! The set includes 12 Gelatos color sticks, a well made paintbrush, and 2 foam blending tools. The color options are great and can make them work with just about any project you are trying to make. You can use the gel sticks on many different surfaces with some being canvas, paper, fabric, wood, and textured surfaces. My daughter's love to use these gel sticks when they are making crafts. They are easy for them to be able to hold and glide over the surface of their project. They are super easy to blend as well. My kids can just take the foam blending tools and are able to blend super easy. It is also nice because you can take the paint brush and dip it in water and you can use the water to blend them like you are painting with water colors. We also love that some of the sticks are bright colored and then there are also some darker tones. We also really like that they have a bit of shimmer to the sticks. I would highly recommend these for smaller kids as well as adults. There are so many options of ways they can be used and are really easy to work with!

These are so versatile and there’s so many ways to use them !! They have the consistency of a creamy lipstick, you can easily control how little or much you want to use. You can also add water and it makes them so easy to move around. You can use them with the a brush , with your finger , with a q tip with a sponge , wet or dry , endless possibilities!

There are different ways you could use these coloring sticks (with or without water) and easy to blend. I am excited to create more art with this set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set of gelatos Iridescents go on like any gel crayon. They color smooth, thick, and opaque without being chunky. The colors are very pretty, but not very blendable on paper with the tools provided.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You cannot go wrong with this brand. To us, they are the quintessential providers of quality medium. The paint colors are beautiful, so brilliant, and vibrant. They come in a nice case for storage after use and include a sponge for blending as well as a brush. I typically use my fingers to smudge colors but the sponge works so well and washes up easily as these are water-soluble. My wife used these on wood and even ribbon with great results. After painting the ribbon she sprayed it with a light mist of water which created a beautiful effect. We will be purchasing other items in this line.

The iridescent colors are so pretty and even more so when you layer and or blend the colors. I purchased a laser cut wood project to experiment on, and I'm loving how it is turning out! The colors really pop and the paint sticks are fun to use! I plan to buy more colors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to try these out to see how they compared to oil pastels. I’m not an artist but like to experiment with different media. I really liked these! I typically use my fingers to smudge/blend colors and I really liked how easy it was to wash off (water soluble). You can see the iridescent nature of the colors when it is really applied strong but when smudged/blended its more subtle. The packaging was nice and came with two blending wedges and a brush. I’ll definitely be buying more colors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am excited to have the opportunity to try Fabre-Castell’s Gelatos Iridescents for the first time and will continue to use them from now on because they are an exciting adventure to use! There are so many ways to blend these fabulous colors into your media like brushing on with a little water added (a nice brush comes with it), blending with one of their sponges, or just administering it right from the push-up tube. The 16 colors are vibrant and appealing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these. The colors are vibrant and amazing, and with a little bit of water, you can turn them into watercolors. They are super easy to use, very easy to hold and work with, and they work equally well on watercolor paper, canvas, and even wood. When you use them without water, they have the consistency of lipstick and you can create vibrant color blends right on your canvas. I did a rural scene with a vivid sunset on canvas, and it turned out beautifully; it's hanging on my wall. The set comes with a brush to use when applying the gelatos as watercolors, and the brush works so well with them. A little bit of water will give you a bright watercolor, and adding more water will really make the color a subtle pastel; I use the lighter watercolors to show where the light is hitting the object. These are beautiful colors, I love how VERSATILE they are, and I'm having a lot of fun creating some pretty nice artwork.

They are very pigmented and are a dream to work with. You get the brush with them and it is really nice and works well with the gelatos. I used them on my canvas to create a beautiful background and will be using them again for sure! I highly recommend these for anyone, beginner or novice!

We're not serious painters, but always enjoy a weekend or two with friends painting. These are some really fresh colors and are really vibrant. Application and registry of colors varies depending on canvas, thicker papers or other materials. A really pretty variety to work with and blend palettes.

I was kind of intimidated by them because they are so different and out of my comfort zone but I actually had a lot of fun experimenting with them. They can be used in multiple different ways which gives you so much room to play with them. I personally like to paint, so that's how I have been mostly using them but it was fun to experiment with. You can spray them or draw directly on the paper and add water directly to it or you can put them on a palette and add water that way, etc. The possibilities are endless! The colors are bright and vivid and have a beautiful shimmer to them. They dry down nicely as well and look beautiful!

Working on abstract summer mood that I want to give to my mother for her birthday. The colors glide on nicely and work well with shading. All colors are odorless. My kids want to try them to so we will get some stencils and see how it goes. If you or someone close to you loves art and colors, you will not regret getting those!
