Dimplex Prism Linear Electric Fireplace

I have had ours for five years. Looks good. However the flame image is quite dim with normal day or evening lighting. Only when the room is dark, it looks good. Also the front glass is too reflective causing visual interference with the flames.

Excellent product. Very high-quality for the money.

We decided on an electric fireplace to continue our efforts to go all electric and reduce our fossil fuel use as we are 100% renewable. We had a little used space and this filled it perfectly.

We honestly just leave it on and change the color periodically. There’s not much heat output that’s why i gave 4 stars

I had mine flush-mounted in my existing fireplace. It is wonderful. The colors are so pretty and a lot of heat blows out when you need it. I love the setting that changes colors.

Installing it correctly was the only slightly challenging part because I tend to be a perfectionist sometimes. The heater heats up our living room, where our old fireplace was, even with a lot of windows in the room. We don't like the smell of burning wood in our house so this Electric heater is perfect for us.

Have this in my livingroom just love it. Everyone i worked with were very helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This electric fireplace is gorgeous. We installed it in our bedroom. Be sure to make sure you have the appropriate hardware and mounting area. It is a little over four feet long so you will need two people to install it properly. We are handy so we were able to follow the directions and the install went smoothly. The flame looks great and it easily adjusts. It’s relatively quiet when on.

For the power consumption you can’t ask for much more as far as the heat provided. I saw a number of reviews before ordering that indicated they were disappointed in the heat that this supplied. Understand that this is not a real fireplace. The heating function is pretty admirable considering it is designed for a 15 amp, 120 volt circuit (standard outlet). Install was pretty straight forward. The instructions are simple and easy to follow and this unit can be either surface mounted, partially recessed, or completely recessed. It can be hardwired or comes standard with a regular grounded plug. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to improve the ambience of a room and add a bit of supplemental heat with ease.

You have 3 different mounting options and this does include hardware. This is a perfect addition to bring warmth or just relaxing ambience to a room. There is an option for just the flame illusion. You can also just run fan and turn up heat to your liking. It's very quiet when running. Rocks and remote are included. You can choose color of your flames as well. There is a front glass you put in so after your done rearranging your rocks, everything stays in place and is well protected. I think I need one in every room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good statement piece that adds elegance to a room. The flame looks fairly real for an electric fireplace and has multiple settings. The heat is a bit lacking though and I wouldn't but this if heat is your main concern. If you want an electric fireplace that looks as close as it gets to a real flame then this is for you. Overall happy with the fireplace given the limitation of limited heat output.

We are professionals and have installed many of these types of units in several homes. While it is a bit more than we recommend for the average do-it-yourselfer, it is not a difficult or messy install. We decided to add this to our own bathroom remodel because of the beautiful lights. We haven't found it to be particularly warming for the room, but really we didn't want that. We were looking for ambience. The flickering colors are delightful and gives the bathroom a tranquil, spa-like feel. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are really impressed with this Prism Series 34" Linear Electric Fireplace! We had originally planned to just hang it, but when we saw how nice this was we decided to install it built in and hardwired. The flames look like real fire and the beautiful prism effect, along with the color choices is just mesmerizing. We love how you can use the heat option or not, so you can use this all year round to add ambiance to the room all four seasons. The remote control shows a large LED display right on the fireplace so you can see all your settings from across the room. From your couch you can set an on/off timer, cycle through and change the color scheme, turn the heat on or off or raise/lower it. Even when using the heat option, the unit stays cool to the touch, which is a great safety feature if you have small children. This is a high quality electric fireplace and we are so happy with it!
