Q: Do you HAVE to use this with a phone? I really just want the watch function, pedometer and heart rate monitor. I do not track my fitness info with my phone in general.

In order to have full functionality, nearly all smartwatches must connect via Bluetooth. The only exception are watches that have 3g/LTE capabilities. This watch only has Bluetooth connectivity. Q: Can you change the band even if it is made for a iPhone?
A: We do not recommend any changes to the band as the manufacturer does not create replacement bands. People have done it but we do not recommend it.
