Book Synopsis
Award-winning and bestselling "powerhouse" author Kennedy Ryan is at her absolute best in this compelling, scorching novel about hope and healing, and what it truly means to love for a lifetime (USA Today). Their love was supposed to last forever. But when life delivered blow after devastating blow, Yasmen and Josiah Wade found that love alone couldn't solve or save everything. It couldn't save their marriage. Yasmen wasn't prepared for how her life fell apart, but she's is finally starting to find joy again. She and Josiah have found a new rhythm, co-parenting their two kids and running a thriving business together. Yet like magnets, they're always drawn back to each other, and now they're beginning to wonder if they're truly ready to let go of everything they once had. Soon, one stolen kiss leads to another...and then more. It's hot. It's illicit. It's all good--until old wounds reopen. Is it too late for them to find forever? This was a blind book purchase I made while out shopping without anything specific in mind. Had never heard of the author. With that being said, I loved this book. And I look forward to revisiting the read again once enough time passes. I loved the story, I loved the writing. I loved the rawness of it and the fact that the story felt real. Not just some concocted daydream fairytale to submerge in, but real life type ish.

This was a great story about Yasmen & Josiah, a married couple that was supposed to be together forever, until the wheels fell off. But then life happens & they are forced to face challenges they were never prepared for. Mental health struggles & grief becomes a huge part of their story. It was a very real & raw feeling story. Therapy plays a HUGE roll in this story, & I really liked how the author really normalized going to therapy. There is such a stigma around therapy & asking for help, especially for males. I really felt for both Yasmen & Josiah. Especially Yasmen, from a fellow mother’s POV. As Mom’s, sometimes we are made to feel like we’re meant to have all the answers & never make mistakes, especially in front of our kids. But I think it’s so great when parents take accountability for their mistakes in front of their kids, apologizing, shedding tears & showing emotion- to normalize that even as adults & parents, we aren’t perfect & that’s okay. I loved seeing the growth of Yasmen’s relationship with her teenage daughter once she opened up to her about her mental health struggles more. P.S Yasmen & Josiah’s spicy scenes…oofta! Loved the author’s writing, it all just flowed really well!

This was such a good read. The characters struggle of loving others while losing self in depression, so powerful. Seeing the character come out on the other end of the struggle better than before matched with hot steamy love. This book is a YASSSS for me. I just finished This Could Be Us, can’t wait for the next book

The two main characters are stupid and you read each chapter thinking who’s actually more stupid? I started off liking it but after a couple of chapters the stupid sets in and doesn’t leave the book til it’s over. I finished it bc I made a point to myself to read more. The author has another book about the wife’s friend. But there should really be a book about the cook.

This book was so well written, you can't help but visualize the characters and settings! The plot takes you through so many emotions but it's such an amazing story of loss, heartbreak and triumph and unconditional love. You will not want to put this book down!

I’ve had this book sitting on my self for months, and today I thought, why not? Let me tell you I finished this book in a day. The writing? The plot? The love shown throughout the entire story? 1000/10. Kennedy Ryan knocked this out of the park! The only complaint I have is the ending. I cannot handle abrupt endings, it makes me sad to not be able to see an epilogue of a story’s main characters. Even though it leaves it open for a reader’s imagination. But man. I’m in love with this book. Good job!
