Lands' End Men's Jersey Knit Short

I have worn these shorts for years. I have worn these everyday since I worked from home and now retired. Something changed. The elastic in the waistband is non existent now. I have always marked the year I buy the shorts on the inner tag and ones 3 years older have more elastic than the ones I bought this year. I generally buy the longer length version for winter but not going to this year due to this issue.

I have loved these shorts for years. I have 9 pairs in my dresser right now including 2 still in bags direct from LE as backup for others eventually wearing down. In the past, these have lasted for years with 11-12 months of wearing (live in Hawaii). However, I noticed in the last few years that they are not as durable as they used to be. (I am retired so I wear these alot as we only have jeans weather 2 months of the year.) The problem area is the waistband where the material sewn around the internal elastic wears down at the top, starting with fraying then eventually a hole where you can see the white elastic poking thru. This is after 1-2 years max. I rotate my pairs as the heat and humidity out here means I get only 1 days wearing before it goes into the wash. I wear a different pair of these probably 4-5 days a week just doing stuff around the house, going to Costco and the grocery store, even Drs appointments. Its all washed in cold water and machine dried, though now I am even air drying to see if it has an impact? Otherwise, I would give them 5 stars.

My husband has been wearing these exclusively around the house since he got them. They are so comfortable!

I expected much better when purchasing. The quality of the short is excellent. However the fit is more for hip hop. Not happy with the baggy fit.

Like these shorts Do think they need ironing but that’s ok I’m an ironer… you could get buy without ironing They hold their shape a good length and I would order them again

I enjoy these shorts. My recent order had moss green shorts labeled "XL 46-48." The size XL of all my pairs of these shorts are all labeled "XL 40-42." They seem to be the correct size, just mislabeled.

These shorts are very true to size and super comfortable. I especially like the back pocket feature. In keeping with the Lands' End reputation for quality and value, my shorts wash and wear with no issues...time after time.

These sweatshorts are amazing. They fit true to size. The length is perfect. The material is nicer than regular sweatpants material.

These shorts are a perfect fit for my husband. he wears a 38 waist and these fit him great.

I bought these shorts for my husband. He really needed new shorts for the hot weather, just for lounging in the home. This pair seemed perfect, a relaxing elastic waist & legs that are not constricting. Unfortunately, they were far too big on him, definitely oversized. A zie issue can be remedied by replacing with a different size. However, the fabric is far too heavy to wear in the summer. They are labeled the same as my own shorts - "Jersey Knit Shorts." My shorts are comfortable & cool to wear. The men's version, on the other hand, feels like heavy-duty sweatpants fabric. They were very heavy to even pick up. My husband said they are much too heavy and too hot to wear in summer. He said this is NOT simply a jersey knit, but actual heavy-duty sweatpants with half the legs cut off. So, unfortunately, they have to be returned. The frustrating part, above the item not being wearable, is that we'll have to pay to return these.

These are the only shorts I buy my husband. The material is thick with good pockets. He puts his keys and wallet in the pockets and it doesn’t pull the shorts down like a cheaper short would. He has shorter legs so this length is a perfect fit for him. I’ve been buying these shorts for years and haven’t seen anything better for him.

works very well in warmer weather as opposed to the heavier sweat shorts. I find them very roomy and comfortable

Husband loves these shorts. Would love them in red, burgundy, khaki and stone colors. We would buy these additional colors.

I purchased these a week ago. Bought a pair for my husband (large) and a pair for myself (small) in olive and they are fabulous! They run true to size and are a substantial material that will last forever. I am a size 8-10 in women's and my husband is a 36-37 waist jeans. I am very happy with this purchase. I came back to purchase another pair for each of us.

I was so excited to find the new green color to supplement my husband's collection of L.E. Jersey Knit Shorts which he's always liked. Quickly ordered him a pair in his usual size L. Imagine our mutual disappointment to find these shorts are now VOLUMINOUS. He looks like a man wearing a woman's skort! About the only thing that fits properly is the waist - the rest is just plain baggy. The leg openings are supposed to be 27.5", which would already be too big (didn't check before ordering - thought we were getting the classic style/fit as in years past), but the actual measurement is 30" !! Fortunately my man is handy with a sewing machine & is going to alter these, but I doubt we'll be buying them again, which is a rotten shame, because the quality is still good, just no longer the fit.

I’ve purchased multiple orders of these shorts. Over the last year I’ve lost a serious amount of weight. I had 4 pair sitting unopened. I called to find out how returns worked and the person was very helpful. No problems with the return and it occurred quickly. I rebought tgem in a smaller size. I’m happy.

I had 4 pair, I bought my 5th in the new Moss Green color. There is a great improvement in the drawstring length. The first 4 pair had a drawstring about 1 inch long on each side. Clearly unusable. The new one has about 6 inch draw strings. Great improvement !!!

I own three pairs of these shorts. 2 gray and 1 black. If they came in more colors, I would buy them. They wash great and fit and look awesome.

Sitting and writing this review while wearing a pair. Very comfortable, heavier material than my usual gym shorts, longer inseam, deep pockets, pocket in back, what's not to like. Great loungers. I live in FL so almost every day wear. Wish they had more colors.
