When I first opened this table cloth, the smell of plastic/chemical was so bad, but I really liked the neutral pattern. I decided to open up the tablecloth and drape it over some things in the garage to air out for two weeks. It took two weeks for the smell to go away. The tablecloth is perfectly fine now and I use this on my card table which I open up when I have extra company. The underneath flannel is very thin, but is ok for a temporary extra table.
