These panels are light filtering. I bought them in taupe and they do let some light in, but they are perfect for what I wanted. I ironed them easily right out of the package. They are lightweight and hang beautifully.

Nice curtains, only giving four stars because they do not completely darken the room and the color is a bit darker than what the photos show. Still would buy again though because they work for us.
