The Butterfly Diode V is a quintessential modern defender’s blade. This semi large blade has a nice, soft feel, making both defensive chops and powerful attacks easier to control. Players that want a controlled chopping game should consider Feint Long III or Ilius S. Both rubbers will easily absorb incoming power and spin. Those looking for long pips better for close to the table blocking, chop blocking, or hitting should try Feint Long II or Ilius B. Both will have a little more speed and more long-pimple effect. Beginner/intermediate players focused on a more defensive style could consider Tackiness Chop II or Aibiss on the forehand. More advanced players could benefit from the speed and spin Dignics 05 and 09C have to offer. To increase the grip on this blade, you can add Soft Grip Tape, providing more grip and comfort to the racket handle. Another great choice to extend the longevity of your racket is adding side tape to the blade, protecting the wood in the event it is hit on the table.
