Purchase 1 month ago, works as required. Quality very good. Easy to set up. Downside, I cannot add a software like I did with my Swann system to view my cameras on my home laptop : (

I bought this camera system about 3 months ago and it has worked flawlessly since the beginning. It was very easy to install and the support is very responsive if you have any trouble. I own two defender camera systems and they both have been great. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I bought this system because I wanted to replace my old system from competition with a more modern and easier to handle system. The price tag was a bit higher but the specification was a lot better then the one I had. My final decision to choose this system was the power connection for the cameras. To feed only one line per camera because the Ethernet power made the installation in my case like a walk in the park. One negative part... ...Defender was not offering a longer Ethernet cable, like 75' or 100', for this system and I had to outsource this cable. Otherwise I'm absolutely thrilled with my new security camera system.

We've had this system installed since the beginning of October and I could not be happier. Everything took about 8 hours to install properly and everything looks great. The quality of the video far exceeds my last system. The colors are sharp and the details are crisp and clear. I've got 6 of the camera's outside and they are able to cover everything that I need it two. The other two cameras I have inside pointing at my doors so that I can see who is coming and going. Being able to view the camera's in real time using the app has been extremely useful, especially while expecting deliveries or watching the driveway to see when my kids come home. Anything that you can do with the recording unit (NVR) you can do with the app, and I don't think I've had to plug the NVR into my TV for a while now after discovering how powerful the app is. Everything records in 4k and with audio so you can hear whats going on as well. I don't record 24/7, so I only have the motion and human detection turned on. Notifications are recorded in the app as well with a thumbnail, and when you click it you are taken right to that time so you can view the event on the player. If you need a system, you can't go wrong with this one.

Have been using this for 3 months in all weather condition (sunny, rain, hail, snow, sleet) and they have performed so well. Very happy with them. 8 cameras have allowed me a clear 24/7 view of my bungalow and property. The app is great. Get all the notifications I need. The added benefit of the lotion detection lights are another amazing feature I love.

Good quality camera, easy to install. Design needs more flexibility to position anywhere and see image upright. Also gets a lot of false positive “human detection” even though we turned sensitivity to Low.

The cat5 cables that came with the equipment is garbage and is not connectorized for 568A or B standard.

I installed it over a week and have been please with it . The system was easy to install and setup . Will add cameras at a later time .

We've used Defender systems for many years and run a number of their systems and devices. We recently updated to the Defender 4K Sentinel POE system and pleased to have done so! The setup was simple, well documented, great image quality, ease of updates and love the functionality coupled with the Defender Empower App, that we use on both IOS and Android devices.

Clear video. Audio is subpar. The app closes down during playback. Would like to upgrade Defender product next time. Good value, however.
