I ordered 3 of these desks. One of the gray ones came with the tabletop damaged. The top appears to be covered with contact paper over mdf board or plywood maybe. The damaged top had a few rectangle shaped protrusions in the contact paper. Knowing my son would pick at it until it peeled off, I wanted to exchange before the damage worsened. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the damage until we had everything built, since the top is last to be put on. In order to exchange I’d have to return the one I just built. Would have liked the option to just replace the top or send a new one and I’d return it with the tops exchanged out, then just drop off the product at the nearby Target. I wouldn’t want to disassemble the whole thing! So just beware to check for flaws before you start assembling the desk. That said I’d still highly recommend these desks because they give your child/student a lot of table room and the seats are just the right height. Having a mostly metal structure, it should hold up a long time.

Got this super fast . I wanted something for my 1st Fraser that was nice but didn’t break the bank and this is it. It was super easy to assemble and sturdy. I think my favorite part is the caps on the end of the legs, they have a sort of spring so it takes the weight rather than it just being caps pressurized on the floor,it’s great for carpet so I don’t have to worry about it making a huge dent in the floor. I love also the paper side part of the table so it’s a great school station, reading station or even art station. There is plenty of room and space for my 6 year old to grow. Although one piece was dented and one piece was broken on the insert for the leg, it’s backed by a 10 year guarantee which is awesome!
