[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum lives up to its advertised description! In addition, the construction and materials are better quality than expected. The vacuum has worked very well cleaning up after our dog and two cats! The suction is so strong that the pet hair actually gets sucked down the hose and not caught on the rotating brush. The two vacuums we had prior to this one were bag-less (not Prolux) and they became useless in a short period of time because of dust clogging everything, even with routine cleaning.

I actually hate this vacuum. The hose is so stiff, which makes it so difficult to use this vacuum. I can’t even store it in the closet because of the hose being so stiff. The wheels don’t turn, so it drags across the floor. The attachment piece to use on hardwood floors doesn’t move on an angle, so it’s hard to pick up dirt & debris. I wish I could return this and get something else. I’ve always had Kenmore canister vacuums, and that’s what I’ll definitely get again next time. I would not recommend this vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited too long to replace my cannister vacuum because I didn't think any company was making them well any more... and I am so glad we looked online and found the Prolux TerraVac! I really like the push-button adjustment to suction since we have hardwood floors, area rugs, upholstery, and curtains and sheers that we try to keep dust and dander free. Having the attachments 'on board' makes for easier use each different one, although I often find it difficult to remove the ends or wand from the hose. I also appreciate a HEPA collection bag and that it is large enough it doesn't have to be replaced as often as before-- and easy in, and the great sealing method when it is time to change it. No more redistributed dust and dirty hands! Many of these features are just what a household USER of a vacuum would want, so obviously experience and science went into the Prolux design! Thank you!! An easily retractable cord is such a great safety feature I really really appreciate.

I did not like that this vacuum did not pivot well making it crazy hard to maneuver. It also has a very short hose that is stiff and it is hard to detach from the beater bar to do touch ups. It does have great power and really cleans my carpets but overall I would not recommend, it is just to heavy and bulky and does not maneuver well.

I've had my vaccuum for about a month and have been very satisfied with it. There are several levels of suction you can use and it has no issues with picking things up. If you have any smaller throws though you do have to be careful since it can try to pull it in. As others have said though the hose is very stiff. It can be a little tough also when trying to use the quick release to use any attachments. I do have issues with my hands and it has been tough at times to get it to release. Otherwise it has been a great product so far.

I am so glad that I bought this vacuum over the much higher priced Miele vacuum that was in my shopping cart. The Prolux has great suction, a power motor head, different attachments that store inside the vacuum rather than attaching onto the hose, and the ability to stand upright on stairs. And the part that really sold me is that it is made in the USA!!

The ONLY vac to effectively pick up dog hair (short white Dalmatian hairs) on the FIRST pass from low pile carpet. Appreciated the instructional videos - simple and helpful. Thank you for including a few bags with the new vac. Thank you also for the hidden onboard tools under the hatch. I love that it stores in my coat closet either flat or standing on end. Auto cord rewind a plus. Steel components and quality craftsmanship are rare these days esp. for this price point (affordable) yet they perfectly describe this Terra Vac . Just a few minor suggestions: wheels could roll a little easier; junction disconnect point btwn power head and main wand very snug. Hubby has to disconnect for me so I can change attachments. Great vac at a great price. Thanks for a quality product Prolux!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had different versions of Shark upright vacuums over the last 10 years and they were clunky and hard to get into certain places, even with the added tools. Our last Shark we hated from the moment we turned it on. I was extremely loud. I find the TerraVac canister much easier to use, far less noisy and my rugs feel SO much cleaner. I was surprised at how much softer they felt. I also really like that the TerraVac has multiple levels of suction including one for dusting. We have 2 dogs and a cat, so the pet hair and dust is inevitable. Looking forward to having this machine for a while!

I am very pleased with the quiet operation of this model. The vac is easy to use and was easy to assemble. I am very pleased with the Prolux vacuum and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced vacuum.

Good quality vac but when it finally needed parts it was impossible to get them and we realized it made more sense to just buy a new vacuum - but the company's current price for a vacuum was outrageous - so we cheaped out and bought a couple vacuums that didn't last as one or another piece fell apart or they didn't have the power we needed to get the job done. My wife did the research and came across the TerraVac and we bought it about 6 months ago and have been really satisfied with it. It has all the functionality and performance of that expensive vacuum we bought all those years ago at a reasonable price. We read reviews about it being well-made and after 6 months of regular use in a two-story 1800 square foot 3 bedroom home, we agree. It is working great - well designed and sturdy - quiet to operate. A bonus that we didn't expect was that the vacuum bags are amazingly well-priced compared to those we'd purchased for other vacuums. I don't write reviews often and when I do it's usually for tools that are dependable, like the ones I count on for my woodworking. So - very pleased to be able to recommend this vacuum. I would definitely purchase it again - but not expecting I'll have to for a long time....

I did a lot of research before I purchased it and there were a lot of good reviews. However, I've been let down by good reviews before with other products. Not so with Prolux. It's light weight and easy to use, has great suction power and has all the needed attachments that many competitors did not. It's also reasonably priced compared to other models I considered. I highly recommend this vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve done a lot of research and shopping looking for a vacuum that could keep up with my 3300 square-foot house and my never ending shedding fur babies. I’ve had at least four, across 3 well known brands, none of which stood up to the test. I came across this particular vacuum ( Prolux TerraVac ) and said OK I’ll try this. WOW, not only was I able to vacuum in half the time, it also picked up all of the pet hair under the coffee table and dining room table. I am so pleased and amazed with the features that this vacuum comes with. The versatility of this vacuum is amazing. The suction power is awesome - I love the fact that I’m able to move from carpet to hardwood without bending down and changing the settings. I simply just press the button on the sweeper with my foot and that’s it. The attachment for pet hair (OMG) Is like no other. I was able to do two flights of stairs in under five minutes. Normally it would take me 10 to 20 minutes. I will also mention how quiet it is. Compared to the other vacuums that are out there this vacuum is quiet. I am happy to say I am very pleased with his vacuum. If you tried many vacuums to no avail give this one a try you won’t regret it.
