Prym Crochet Hook Set 7-O

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these a little while back as I am interested in crocheting and honestly these are probably the best hooks I’ve had. They’ve got grips on the handle which makes my job easier.

After taking a closer look at them and their purpose I thought I should give them a try. I got them with my mom in mind. She crochets from time to time but the hooks she has are small all around and I knew these would be better for her hands. They for comfortably into the hand and aren't heavy. Easy to use and it's made it easier for my mom and her hand pains.

I usually don't buy plastic hooks but these ones are well made for comfort of the hands. There's a light rubber like coating on them for this. There are no sharp edges that the yarn catches on. Perfectly made!

The grip is perfect for their hands and the hooks are on the larger side which makes it easier for beginners (IMO). I also think the grips would be more comfortable if you're doing a lot of crocheting. All in all, I love these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these hooks. Not only are they cute, because they definitely are, they feel really nice in the hand. Sometimes the harder metal ones make my fingers hurt but I don't seem to have that problem with these. The necks are nice and slender and yarn just glides over them. I think this a good little set to have if you're a long time crocheter or a beginner. Definitely a nice way to get a good variety of sizes and have handles that feel good to hold. Would recommend!

You can make a cute little hook holder and drop these in your bag or whatever. They're also comfortable to hold, although I'm used to using flat handled hooks so it takes some getting used to. Overall these are great hooks and they would make a good gift for someone just getting into crochet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the opportunity to receive this 5 pc set of Prym Ergonomic Crochet Hooks in exchange for my honest opinion. Having always regretted not taking the time to learn how to crochet, but uncertain if my 70 yr old arthritic fingers would be up for the task, I decided to give it a go. As a newbie, I can't really compare these crochet hooks to others, but I can honestly say that the smooth plastic optimized hooks have made it fairly easy for me to catch the yarn and move it into the proper position. The attractive silicone coated lower portion of these hooks, combined with their ergonomic shapes make them easy to grasp. My hands are able to manipulate the hook & yarn longer than I had anticipated. They are color coded to differentiate between hook sizes, however, I do wish that Prym had embossed each hook with the corresponding size to accommodate my short term memory lapses. I ended up marking them myself with a sharpie, which, while not as attractive, serves the purpose. It's a slow and steady process, but I am making forward movement using these Prym Ergonomic Crochet Hooks and would definitely recommend them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great quality crochet hooks. They are also the perfect size for making small amigurumi figures. The plastic is smooth making them easier to go through stitches but not so smooth where my loops fall off. They have a nice weight but aren't overly heavy. They're rubberized which isnt the softest but does have a good grip. Only con is some of the hooks are a bit sharp/not smooth completely and catch on the yarn and unravels/shreds them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family has always been art's and crafty. I spent my summers in Chicago, from St Louis. My grandmother could and did everything. She crocheted, knitted, sewed, etc, and was a Girl Scout troupe leader. She could do anything. She's was left handed and so I'm I. The rest of my family are right handed. That being said, although she taught us all, she loved when I visited because we were both left handed and didn't impose any difficulty when teaching. It's been over 35yrs since I've picked up a crochet needle. Since retirement, I decided to try my hand again at crocheting. This set is perfect! Because it contains several sizes, I can change stitch sizes to match what I'm making. I'm the beginning, I played with each size to remind myself of how tight each hooks stitch creates. While making a cap for a friend's grand baby, the wonderful memories of crocheting with my grandmother flooded my mind. So happy to have something to donwith my hands again, and even happier that I decided to crochet. These are just perfect! They fit nicely in my hands and aren't too heavy like the steel ones I used as a child.

I’ve been wanting to try these Prym hoo since I saw them on Arne & Carlos a year ago. I was a little concerned about plastic needles. It turns out theses are wonderful. They are smooth and sleek but not quite as slick as metal. I like that. Also, the tip of the hook is nice and pointy. This makes moving the hook through tighter stitches really nice. Finally, I like the feel of the handles. I’ve always liked a fatter utensil. It is comfortable to hold and helps with fine motor control. I have used these with wool, cotton, acrylic and polyester scrubby yarns. The hooks worked beautifully with each of these. The pointy tip was particularly helpful with the scrubby yarn. I love these hooks and would highly recommend them.

Great hooks, no stress on my hands, just enough no slip texture

Very nice length. Easier to crochet a large quilt with the longer hooks. Hook is smooth and does not snag.
