Purdy Revolution 4-1/2 - 6-1/2 in W Jumbo Mini Paint Roller Frame and Cover Threaded End

stick with the jumbo koter from Wooster , ever since Sherwin Williams bought these guys its been down hill . cheaper quality and higher prices . rusty water in fresh paint is not good

I don't know what issues everyone else is having with these. I've used mine 4 times already, and it has worked great each time. No issues what so ever. Only thing I can say is take time to clean them out properly after each use. Just like any other tool, they need to be cared for if you want them to perform.

Used to be all I used was Purdy brushes, rollers, & frames. Still happy with my arsenal of brushes & skins. Huge let down on the new cageless & 3/4" core mini frame design. Mini frame is easily cleaned inside & out but set screw seems to strip out way to easily. Yes people can say it's inexpensive replacement but y? I have 3 of older 9" & 2 of 4.5" design that are years old. My other gripe is new design on handle as it makes my old poles & adapters pretty much obsolete. Bring back heftier design (along with old style handle) so I need not go to brand "pin lock."

I also have had the same problems as others. And yes I took care of it daily. Never wrapped it over night. On top of them getting a rusty leak from any moisture, which paint will produce, it has also completely locked up. So far I haven't found how to take it apart. Convenient Purdy.. wasted a lot of time as I bought it for behind toilets and had to remove the toilet because it froze up on me. When is American made going to mean durable, quality, and lasting again? Seems like everything is made to be replaced within a year these days..

Because of the design of the roller and the material, the water sits inside the roller after cleaning. The dirty water will leak out on the next paint jop. I tried various different ways to get rid of the dirty water before starting to paint to no avail. I am curious whether choosing aluminium would have prevented this. Would not buy again.

Same as above,a grey water coming from where the roller sits and ending up getting on the roller splashing your paintwork.

after reading all the negative reviews I was skeptical buying this roller. I really had no choice I need the 6 1/2 inch roller to paint a house. I painted a whole house with this roller and had no issues what so ever. after reading the other reviews I'm convinced the people using them are dyi who wrap the roller at the end of the day. after each use I cleaned the roller and handle and had absolutely no water bleed threw the next day. when I clean a roller I used a high pressure nozzle on the end of a house and 5 gallon bucket. the roller rolled just find the next time I used it with no water dripping out. before you bang on this product you need to know how to clean a roller and handle. thanks

Cleaned well after each use, it lasted less than a year. Then, the core would not roll and the cover just skidded across the surface. Horrible! Terrible investment. Roller and many covers headed to the garbage.

I hate this. Painting and it splatters rusty colored paint all over my work because water got into the end of the roller and there's no way to dry it out .

I have two of the mini roller frames and will throw them out. They do not roll after the first use. Unless I can find another frame that fits the Purdy rollers then I'll probably have to throw them out too.

Had the same issue as a previous reviewer. The roller works well the first time, but when trying to use it a second time, grayish liquid would splatter from inside the roller core (probably water reacting with the metal inside). This is most likely a flaw with the design of the roller since there's no way to dry the inside of the core. I'd recommend staying away from this product if you're planning on using it more than once.

I am painting a whole house. Used the roller, works very well, cleaned it but you cannot clean the inside. Next day painting with a much lighter color, new roller, but the gray was coming out from inside, where it had collected from day before and you cannot take it apart to clean inside frame. Too expensive to buy one for every color, shame because it works very well.

I bought this roller to paint a room that had a lot of tight spaces and it worked great. It worked so good I ended up painted the rest of the room with it instead of switching to a bigger roller. I used it with the 4in and 6 in sleeves, it rolled smooth every time even after cleaning.

I used this once and it worked great! The problem is after the first use, it will not turn freely rendering it useless! A waste of good money!
