Q: How do you fill the water tank, and does it leak while carrying to the base?
A: This is a bottom fill tank. You will flip the tank over, remove a screw cap and fill the tank, You will then put the screw cap back on to secure the water in the tank so it does not leak.

Q: How can I clean the inside of the unit? Mine does in fact grow mold and mildew and I can’t get anything to reach the far side to clean it meaning I can’t use the unit as I don’t want moldy moisture going into the air.
A: You can soak the tank in a mild dish soap and warm water for 10-15 minutes and then use a bendy bottle brush to get the harder to reach areas. You can also use 100% white vinegar instead of soapy water if needed.

A: This unit is very quiet and would not work for white noise. It is only a humidifier.

Q: What is the Silver Clean product that is used to keep the tank clean?
A: The Silver Clean Technology is embedded in the plastic of the unit to prevent mold and mildew build up. The Silver clean is bits of silver that are mixed in with the plastic. Silver is a natural antimicrobial. It will not leach into the plastic or become lesser over time.

Q: Is it possible to add a small amount of vinegar to the water to counteract the hard water in my area
A: We do not recommend running the unit with vinegar. However, we do suggest to clean the base with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. You may need to clean the unit once a week.

Q: Are the parts dishwasher safe?
A: You cannot put any parts of the humidifier in the dishwasher, as they are not dishwasher safe.

Q: Can you use tap water to refill or does it need distilled water?
A: Distilled water is always ideal. If you do need to use your tap water, and you have hard water, you may experience a white dust from the minerals in the water on your furniture.
