Q: Can essential oils be diffused in this humidifier?
A: No, essential oils and other additives cannot be used in Pure Guardian humidifiers.

Q: Does it leave a white residue all over everything?
A: If you have hard water you may notice a white dust from the minerals in the water.

Q: Is the opening to fill the tank large enough to get your hand in to clean the inside?
A: The opening of the tank is about 2in wide. You will not be able to reach your hand in for cleaning, but you can use a bottle brush.

Q: Where is the water input, I don't have instructions
A: You will need to remove the water tank from the base, flip the tank over and unscrew the tank lid that is off center and you will fill the water tank from the area that you removed the tank lid.

Q: what size replacement pads for the oil is it? I don't see that information anywhere
A: You will need to purchase replacement pads from www.guardiantechnologies.com. The size is 1" x 1.25" x 0.25" in CM.

Q: How do you fill this humidifier?
A: This is a bottom fill unit. You will remove the tank, flip it upside down and remove the tank lid for filling.

Q: Can the washable parts - tank, mist spout, and water tank lid - be washed in upper rack of dishwater? d If so, on doelicates cycle or normal?
A: You cannot was any parts of the humidifier in the dishwasher or with boiling water. It is best to clean those parts with a mild dish soap and warm water or with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.

Q: Will this product leak? Is this product for a small bedroom?
A: This unit is not designed to leak, as long as it sits on a hard flat surface. This unit will cover up to 320sq ft.

Q: I have noticed a pink film in the base from the 2nd time I’ve had to refill the tank and every time since. What causes this and what can I do to keep it from coming back?
A: The pink/red residue is caused by either contaminants from the air or the water, but more than likely the air. Regular maintenance on the humidifier will help with any residue or calcification that may build up. . You can wash the tank, mist spout, and water tank lid (the lid on the bottom of the blue tank) with a mild dish washing soap, rinsing well, and drying. . In the base of the humidifier, you can soak the ultra sonic disk, using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water for about 5-10 minutes.* . Clean gently with the brush provided. . Drain any excess vinegar and dry with a soft cloth.

Q: I know you can put a couple of drops of essential oils in an optional cup, but can you use the liquid Vicks instead?
A: Liquid Vicks should be fine as long as it is not a large quantity on the pad.
