Q: Is this food just for overweight cats or does it help underweight cats too? My cat has a hyper active thyroid and she's lost weight. I've read that high protein, high calorie foods are good for cats with this diagnosis. Is this food high or low calorie?

My older cats get some too they sneak in the bowls sometimes. The more the merrier this brand I’ve used for about 10 years faithfully never had a problem.

I have tried prescription diet foods(hills, royal canin and purina OM). This is the food that has finally helped my cat lose weight. I also supplement with wet food as well to increase water intake. I did this with the rx food and he never lost weight!

Then once I determined she was a female I thought she was pregnant. Lo and behold she was just fat. Do, I just start feeding her the Healthy Weight formula in hopes of slimming her down a bit. Thus far she really enjoys the kibble so, I think we’re off to a good start
