Consistency isn’t there, top layer is clumped but lower in the box, the litter becomes a mass of material which has to be dug out of the box. The box has to be clean more frequently because of the residue stuck to it.

The Tidy Cats 24/7 Performance (red label) has been my no. 1 go to cat litter until recently. The last two purchases is a much poorer quality litter. It seems to be mostly clay and noticeably darker than the previous high quality product.

I don't know what has changed in this litter but it now just turns to mud. I can barely scoop the pee out anymore. I am switching to something that doesn't need a body builder to scoop.

Just opened a 20lb jug of this cat litter and it is a different color and smells like lemon?? Not sure my cat will use this?? Why does it smell like that? Cats do not like citrus.

I CANNOT BELIEVE you hv the nerve to place 99.9% dust free on your containers. Everytime I scoop out my cats waste, a plum of dust pops into the air to where it makes me cough. This I find as FALSE ADVERTISEMENT !!!

usually this is the ONLY cat litter i will use as i LOVE tidy cat as a multi cat home BUT its NOT cheap and this last 40# was a RIP OFF!! so they have lost my Business after all these years. i got CHUNCK’S of flat clay in 80% of the litter box i mean SERIOUSLY ??

Used to be great. Clumping was clean and perfect. The formula changed and now it is like cement and I can't even use my plastic poop scoop anymore. It sticks to the pan and is near impossible to scoop. After 14 loyal years, I will now be changing brands.

Bought the 40lb box of cat litter since it was the best deal and had it shipped with other items. It comes shipped as it which is not a great idea. Its cardboard and the box was smashed, opened and taped back shut. I weighted the box on my bathroom scale and it was 36 lbs, box said 40lbs, so some of it was lost when it opened and spilled then was taped back shut and shipped. Too much of a pain to drive back to a store to exchange.

New formula does not work for adequate clumping

They changed the formula sometime this year in 2024. Just picked up 35lb. in plastic container 8/20/24 and this litter does NOT CLUMP anywhere near as good as the older formula. I will not be buying this product any longer and do not recommend it to anyone.

I made an account for this site just so I could add to the complaints about the formula change. I’ve been using this litter for decades and now I’ve got to find a new brand. UGH. The urine no longer clumps but falls apart. There is now an awful ammonia urine stench coming from the litter box that was never there before the change. I am so irritated. Stop cheaping out your products, Purina!

I have used this product for many many years and never had an issue until this year. Not only does it not clump like it used to. But It seems to create more dust than ever. It seems as though a formula was changed on this product. I can actually see the dust flying in the air

I have used this product for years. It made tight, easy to clean clumps in the cat litter box. In the last two months however the product has changed dramatically. It no longer clumps at all. it makes a wet, mushy, clay-like mess that is impossible to scoop. Even worse, it sticks to my cat's paws and she tracks it all over the house. All the recent reviewers, both here and online, say the same thing. I just wasted money on two large tubs.. I will be switching brands.

Absolutely the worst smelling litter we have ever bought. I don't know how you did it, but you managed to amplify the odor of cat urine to make it smell even worse. Cleaning every other day with 2 cats does not even help. I just dumped the rest of it because my wife and I can not bear the awful smell. Going back to our old brand eve though it is more expensive.

I have been a faithful TidyCats customer ever since I have had cats in my twenties, now as I approach my seventies and am currently fostering kittens, I have noticed that this litter just does not clump like it used to! and judging by the comments it is becoming a constant theme in this narrative. This is most upsetting to me, I just dont know what litter to use going forth!! What did you all do to the formula of this great litter??
