Quaker White Cheddar Gluten Free Large Rice Cakes - 5.5oz

Please switch back to the old recipe. They aren't even close to good. I used to eat so many of these. They now taste rotten.

New rice cake recipe is completely disgusting. The new flavor is a mixture of a bad oil taste and lacks any white cheddar flavor. I have been eating these rice cakes for over 20 years and am so dissapointed that changes were made to a product that was already perfection. Please change it back.

I have been buying this flavor consistently for at least a year. With the last pack I bought around March 2025, I noticed some of the cakes tasted okay, but some had a 'stronger' offputting cheese flavor. I thought maybe it just had more of the flavoring on it. But after opening the second set of cakes in the pack, I was overwhelmed by the smell. It smelled like a pungent, mold-heavy cheese, like they'd gone bad. I also noticed that there was more brown coloring on this pack, so at this point I can't tell if this is legitimately a new flavor or if the most recent production of these cakes legitimately have mold/rot issues. I threw them out and was worried people around my desk might be able to smell it in the trash even with the pack taped shut. Buyer beware!

We have absolutely loved the white cheddar rice cakes for 30 years. The updated flavor tastes awful. It tastes like a factory mistake of mixing your popcorn flavor with the white cheddar. Our whole family is so sad. I just bought 8 packages and now have to return them. I thought I had bought one bad one a month ago, only sadly to find the recent our recent ones are the same. Please please please bring back the original recipe! Email me when you do and we will continue to mass purchase them.

These used to be amazing, this new flavor is absolutely awful. I thought I got a bad batch, they literally taste spoiled/rotten, but nope, got a new pack that had a different date on the package and still nauseating. The new recipe literally makes me nauseous and it seems I am not alone. PLEASE revert to the original recipe. I will no longer buy these until the recipe is reverted.

The new taste is awful! I am mystified as to why they needed to change it. Plus, they added 15 more calories! It has a weird buttery "under taste" that ruins the whole point of the white cheddar flavor. I am pretty sure they didn't do any focus groups when they made this change. Please go back to the old recipe!!!!

This new rice cake taste like so bad now the 45 cal ones tasted way better I won’t be buying this anymore

I've been eating and buying these for like 25 years, and I can't believe y'all changed the formula :'-( More oil / calories, less tasty cheese powder, and a weird new buttery flavor. This feels like a violation of something sacred, going all the way back to my childhood! please please please bring back the old formula, because I will not be buying any more of this new one, or any quaker products if I can no longer trust this brand. Sad.

The white cheddar rice cakes were one of my favorite snacks since childhood (3 decades!) I am so incredibly disappointed with the recipe change. Not only are there more calories, they taste so awful! Please change back to the old recipe!!

Used to love these as a savory, low calorie snack. New flavor has an artificial butter taste, and is about 25 higher in calories per cake! Hope they will change the flavor back to the original.

New recipe - yuck! Give us the old one!! So disappointed this used to be my favorite go to grocery grab.

I don't know what you did to the white cheddar rice cakes but the taste is no longer the same, it is awful and I was nauseous after eating them. Please change the recipe back to the original. These are not safe for human consumption.

Something has changed in the taste of these and they are absolutely disgusting. My 7 year old is devastated as theses are on of her favorite snacks! Glad to see other reviews and that we weren’t just loosing our minds.

i LOVED these for over a decade. now they’re absolutely vile. these were my favorite comfort food, i eat two almost daily and now i can’t even stomach them. please change the ingredients back- they were perfect before

as soon as I opened the package I knew something was off. I had just finished the last rice cake of another package (I eat [or used to, now]) these all the time and they immediately looked different. as soon as I took a bite I lost all faith in this product, this company, and I lost a favourite snack. This new cheese flavour is absolutely nasty. The old cheese flavour was so good I had reached out to the company to see if they would sell me a bag of the powder they used. It didn't have the gross sweetness a lot of cheese powders and popcorn seasonings do, it was salty and savoury and cheesey without being gross or oily. now though? like sawdust but with LESS flavour, more oilyness. awful texture on the new flavour powder, awful taste. I'm incredibly disappointed in Quaker for ruining a good thing. If you used to like them? don't bother. If you're thinking of trying these for the first time? don't bother. I hope Quaker quickly returns to their previous recipe and announces it somewhere, because there no way they're getting any m0ore of my money to see if the rice cakes are fixed in the meantime. bad business practice, bad product. don't ruin a popular and iconic product and your own reputation as a company for whatever agenda this awful change is pushing

So incredibly disappointed with the recipe change. It was one of my ASD childs safe foods and he won’t touch them anymore, which I don’t blame him because the new flavouring is gross.

The new white cheddar rice cakes fail in comparison to the old ones. The new flavor tastes awful and artificial. I hope they go back to the old, healthier formula. I have eaten these since I was a baby and I am in shock that I now hate these.
