So glad I switched my senior dog to this food a few years ago. He had been so sluggish and gaining a lot of weight with his previous dog food. A couple months after transitioning him to this one, he had not only leaned up some, but there was also a noticeable shift in his energy and mood. Moving around more, eager to go on walks, and better bowel movements. I really like the ingredients in this food - real ingredients, less filler, and no artificial colors etc. He always cleans his bowl too!

A warning - this suddenly started giving our dog major issues. He is getting older (9) so at first we chalked it up to that. He was constantly whining and pacing to go out. Constantly. Day and night. We ran out of this food and bought a small bag of different brand food to hold us over before doing another pickup. Get this again and realize that he had been acting more normal on the other food and he was now acting weird again. Then next thing you know we wake up to dog diarrhea all over. Not fun. Immediately stopped giving this food and switched to the other food … immediately better. I feel terrible because he’s been eating rachel ray food for years no problem so it took a while to realize what was going on. Won’t be buying this again, not sure what happened or what changed.

Liked everything about this dry food. I have a Yorkie and he’s been eating this since he was a puppy. It doesn’t have a foul odor and the nuggets are a perfect size. The fact that real chicken and veggies are used is a definite bonus.

Tummy control! We have 3 dogs. The biggest (120 pounder) had extremely smelly tummy problems! This food cured that problem!

The bag of dog food had been ripped to pieces, then set in a plastic bag and partially taped. That bag was then placed in a box, where when I opened it up there was loose dog food everywhere inside. Pretty disappointing from target.

Don't substitute dog food for CAT food

Hey Target, when I search for CAT food, don’t show me DOG food first. When I order CAT food, don’t substitute DOG food from the same brand if you’re out of stock. The animal is more salient than the brand. Just cancel the item. Gonna now drive 10 miles out of my way to Petsmart when it opens and be late for work. If you’d cancelled the item, I could have gotten it after work yesterday. Thanks a lot.

My poor 4 year old rottie/lab mix ate this since he was 1 year old when I adopted him . Everything was great till recently my dog started throwing up then it turned in to him defecating black blood fluid diarrhea in the house which he never goes in the house . At first I didn't know what it was panicked took him to the ER where I spend 700 dollars for a shot and some meds to curbe is vomiting . Then he still keep going to the bathroom with bloody stool this point I changed his diet to home cooked rice and vegggies and chicken just to smooth hi stomach . After he got better I changed to the kibble ( Rachel rays ) he started getting worst . Then I knew it was the food it made my baby so sick and lethargic which he never is . I was so sparred but glad I stopped and switched to home cook meals for now till farmers dog arrives for him this week . He is finally feeling better a bit . If you love your dog please do not feed this food .

I’ve been buying this brand in different flavors for years, but the last few times the factory didn’t bother to seal the bag in any way, just folded it over a couple of times. I think safety of our pets’ food is important and will be moving on to a different brand.
