Rainbow Friends Deluxe Buildable Figure Playset

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this for free in exchange for my honest review. My son was stoked when he opened the rainbow friends deluxe buildable set! It’s a cool concept with many aspects however falls short on clear instructions and durability. I feel the price should reflect that therefore I personally wouldn’t recommend it.

I bought this as a birthday present for my grandson. He loves the Rainbow Friends and loves building this playset!!

A bit older age group of kids I'd say. My son likes it. My guy put it together and it took a couple hours with breaks to attend the children and personal reasons so alot of tiny pieces and decent instructions to put together. Somewhat fragile after it's put together so gotta play gently and keep away from littlier siblings.

The pieces were a bit difficult at times to snap together and also moving it around to attach the various sections often lead to pieces falling off. Overall it came out really nice and once it was all put together it stayed together nicely.

My 6 year old son built his set with no problems and finished in about maybe 2 or 3 hours. He had a lot of fun building it and loves the finished product.

Simply put this set is terrible. My 7yo is pretty good at following directions in Lego sets, occasionally needing help but usually comfortable with a building set this size. I MYSELF struggled with this and I've been a Lego enthusiast for 30+ years. That is because the instructions are terrible. The colors are washed out in the paper manual so it's very difficult to tell which color pieces go where, and each step only shows the current pieces in color with the rest of the model in shadowed grey so you can't compare later steps to make sure you got the placement right. Steps are also often unclear with ambiguous alignment and poor angles displayed so it's hard to see which pieces go down. Part quality is also middling, pieces don't stay together very well. Which wouldn't be a huge problem with better set DESIGN, but it seems like whoever designed this set has little or no experience with building block sets. Poor or little use of overlapping bricks/plates to secure pieces, they are often stacked up completely vertically so there is little structural integrity. Large assemblies are held together with a single or two studs in several places. Even with the rollercoaster tracks installed it's very weak and pieces fall apart easily. This is unfortunately NOT one of the quality competitor brands to Lego, it's a cash-grab merchandise item taking advantage of kids want something from Rainbow Friends. Parents: save your money, avoid this set. You could make alterations to the build to make it stronger, but I'm assuming it's your child's toy and not yours, so if you just want something they can play with get them Rainbow Friends figurines or something instead.

This is great for rainbow friends fans and is a fun collectors set but just okay when it comes to building and re-building.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old loves Rainbow Friends so he was very excited when I showed him the to, it has sooo many pieces to put together and the colors are off in the instructions, but you can also put it together however you want so you don’t have to necessarily follow the instructions. If your kids like Legos I think they would also love this toy a lot.

These aren't as good as legos, but my kids love Rainbow Friends and they were super excited to get this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set snapped together nicely just like legos but I would increase the age that it is intended for. There are a lot of pieces too many for 6 year old even my 8 year old was getting frustrated at points and needed help. Once put together my children loved playing with it it was just getting to that point was a bit of a struggle.

DO NOT BUY!!!! it kept falling apart on 1 part and was hard! TAKES HOURS TO BUILD!!

Easily kept my 3yo entertained and I didn’t have to worry about hazards. The activity versatility was really great as there’s multiple things he could use it for or with.

Cheap SMALL Lego knockoff pieces. Takes hours to put together then easily falls apart once you start playing. Save your money for a real Lego set.
