There are three starter decks available for Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter. Each deck has 60 cards and features two ink colors with distinct play styles. If you’re new to trading card games, or if you want to experience the game with a deck designed and tested by Team Lorcana, this is a good place to start.
This starter deck pairs loyal and empathic Amber character glimmers, who focus on supporting their teammates, and magical and mysterious Amethyst character glimmers, who can harness special powers to help you achieve your goals. If you like drawing cards and having a lot of characters, this is the deck for you.
Each player needs a Disney Lorcana deck of at least 60 cards to play.

Finding anything Lorcana in-stores has been like searching for a needle in a haystack. With online scalpers hiking up prices to ridiculous levels, it’s been a nightmare trying to get my hands on these cards. So, imagine my delight when I discovered that Target had a great selection available at reasonable prices, free from the clutches of resellers. A big thank you to Target for keeping these in stock and affordable! Game Experience: Now, onto the game itself. Ravensburger Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter Starter Deck Ruby & Emerald is a blast! My husband and I dove into it last night to get a feel for the gameplay, and we were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to pick up. The mechanics are straightforward enough for beginners but still offer enough depth to keep things interesting. Family Engagement: Our 7-year-old son was immediately drawn to the game. Although the box recommends it for ages 8 and up, we believe it will be a fantastic tool to get him excited about reading and improving his skills. The need to read and understand the cards makes it a fun, educational experience. Stunning Card Art: One of the standout features of this deck is the stunning card art.
