My son bought this glove with his own money, not really knowing anything about materials. This glove is made of vinyl, and it will not hold up to any serious fielding. In the two weeks that he had this glove, I threw and hit to him maybe 4 times for total of 4-5 hours of play time. He played with his friends a few other times. Overall, I'd guess this glove had a total of 6-8 hours of use on it. The pocket is coming apart, and the stitching is tearing right throug the vinyl. If the vinyl was of any decent quality, I think it would hold up better, but this material is terribly weak. We are returning it and spending about 2X to get an entry level full leather glove for him. It's a shame that it is headed straight to a landfill with no more than 8 hours of use. Save yourself the headache and purchase an actual leather glove.

Low quality leather split at start of season. Not what I expected from Rawlings brand. Sad.
