I was very excited to get this book, since I used to live in Warrenton, VA which is home to one of the bakery locations. I was excited to see recipes for some of the items I used to buy such as the cranberry orange muffins and the ham scones. What bothered me as I read through this was the amount of name dropping throughout the book. I understand the desire to tell the backstory of a recipe, but it detracts from rest of the book.

I struggled to get past the name dropping throughout the book - it just all overshadowed what should be some solid recipes. I've only made a couple, which have been good, but this book will probably collect dust on my shelf as opposed to be in constant rotation.
