Q: Why does mine keep leaking at the mouth piece when the bottle is closed? The small gasket on the top lid that "seals" the mouth piece IS there but still leaks.

Q: Does anyone know why the lid is in 2 parts? I'm not understanding the reason or function behind having the lid screw apart in 2 different places. Seems like more opportunities for leaks. Please help!

A: Hi there! The lid of our bottle has an "Inner Thread" design, which means the threads that connect the lid to the bottle are on the inside. The Tritan plastic bottle is made with outer-facing threads because of the special Injection-Blow manufacturing process. To maintain a sleek design, we created a "collar" that connects the lid to the bottle. This collar attaches to the bottle's outer threads and doesn't need to be removed unless for a deep clean. The lid can be easily removed from the top of the collar whenever you need to. We hope this helps!

Our son’s school no longer allows metal water bottles so we tried these and he hates them. While they are sturdy and have not broken, the bottle is constantly falling over at his desk. The weight isn’t distributed well and is too top heavy. And what’s with the useless middle extra seal? The bottle still dribbles a small leak when it topples over, even when locked. You have to keep it perfectly still and upright all the time. And it has terrible condensation if you have any ice cubes at all. Looking for an alternative for next year.

I like the water bottle, its cute and stylish but uhm. 3 rubber seals, leaks every now and then. And smells stick to it. As a fulltime mom with a toddler, i need a bottle that is low maintenance and won't leak. Had it for about 5 or more months. Really wanted to love it and make it my main bottle but sadly i won't be any longer :c

What is this middle part for? You can’t screw the top on without it and you can’t fill it up past the middle part….so it’s just a useless extra piece that makes the cup heavy and more parts to clean. It also stains easily as shown in pictures. I got the cup for my son that’s in 5th grade and he only takes it to school. I guess his dirty hands stained a cup….weird

I was really hoping to love this water bottle. I work in the medical field and drinking water all day can be challenging. it leaks with the lock on spilled all over my medical bag and ruined several receipts I needed. I am disapponted with this bottle. Wish I had my reciept still I would return it. its a shame because it did help me drink water more often.

Not leak proof at all! It has now leaked 3 separate times in my son’s backpack, even with the lid closed and locked. It leaks at the two different areas where the lid twists on no matter how tight you twist it. It’s not a minimal amount of leaking either, it emptied the entire water bottle each time. Thankfully, his school computer has not been ruined by these incidents.

Have had this bottle for three months and LOVE it so far. I’m usually prone to spilling or leaking bottles but the lock on the lid prevents that. The lid could be a little hard to screw back on which might lead to leaks. But if you take your time, you should be good to go. I also love the carrying handle and how it comes with two options for when the first wears out or you’re just bored of it! All in all, this is the best bottle I’ve ever had.

Cute bottle but it leaks often. I check all of the seals before use, however it still manages to leak ( usually into my child’s backpack). Don’t waste your money on this one.

Lasted about two months, a rubber seal I had removed recently to wash has now disappeared completely after using it a few days from reassembly. Three seals to take off every wash is too much.

The water bottle really will only work for someone who keeps very very still and doesn't mind leaks. For the rest of us, water dribbles out where the lid is screwed on no matter how tightly, so if you have the gall to put the water bottle in a bag plan on everything getting wet. Also hope you didn't plan on it staying upright when you put it down! Its needlessly elaborate (and ineffectial) closure system makes it incredibly top heavy so at the slightest jostle it will throw itself of the floor, spilling water as it goes. So if you want to hydrate your belongings then go with this one! If you want to hydrate yourself without constant mess look elsewhere

So far I have purchased two of these cups. I purchased one, it leaked...figure ding it was a fluke, I returned and exchanged for another...it leaks as well. They look cool but the connection between the bottle and the middle combined leaks. It's as tight as can be, no seal.

LOVE love love that this has no straw! Straws get so gross no matter how often you clean them. Straws are difficult & annoying to clean, no matter what magical little cleaning brush you use they do eventually get gross, plus people chew the straws and they become extra yucky. Great sized bottle, durable, excellent handle! The handle is soft, large and pliable which makes it would perfect for those times you are carrying a ton of stuff and just have a spare couple fingers to hang on to your water! LOVE this bottle!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] *I received this product from Influenster in exchange for my review.* I think this is a good option for a water bottle. The best things about it is that is it dishwasher safe (I suggest putting it on the top rack in a dishwasher) and there is a locking mechanism for the flip lid. From my experience it actually does keep it locked. The strap is nice and sturdy and easy to take off and swap out for the extra one that is given. I usually drink protein drinks and tea out of it and it seems to work fine with both of those liquids. It's listed on target for $14.99 so I think it is a very reasonable price for what you get. The only thing I wish it had was a straw option.
