Regalo Hip Baby Carrier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to use this for a while before I reviewed it to give it a fair chance. Overall, I think it performs well though it wasn’t the right hip seat for my son. The material is a soft black nylon that wipes easily. The belt is pretty long and will accommodate a wide variety of sizes without an extender belt. The latch is strong and sturdy. This hip seat comes with a zippered pocket next to the seat which is large enough to accommodate an iphone tightly and keys but not much else. The biggest con this hip seat has is the weight parameters. Where competing hip seats typically accommodate children up to 45 lbs, the Regalo hip seat is only meant for children up to 25 lbs. That is also seen in the actual construction of the seat as it is very shallow comparatively and meant for smaller babies. We tried using this as a nearly 40 lb 22 month old and my son is just too big to comfortably use this for any length of time without it hurting my back. I think this is a great option for smaller babies, but my son just isn’t the ideal user.

The hip seat takes so much pressure off my back and shoulders, which I really appreciate, especially on longer outings or when I’m just trying to get things done around the house. I love that the hip seat can be used on its own, so I can switch things up depending on what we’re doing. My little one seems comfy too, which is a win. It’s really easy to use, the straps are adjustable, and I can get it on and off by myself. The pocket on the hip seat is a nice bonus, I can slip my phone, keys, or a pacifier in there, which is super handy when I don’t want to carry a bag I’d definitely recommend it to any mom looking for a solid baby carrier that won’t kill your back.

I love how it is comfortable for both of us and I can adjust it so easily, moving to the front or to the side. Also I loved that it has a storage pocket that it fits perfectly my cellphone. It makes my life easier, carrying my baby for long periods of time to everywhere without getting tired.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this product because I’ve seen others use it and it looks like a life and back saver. The waist band on the hip seat was comfortable to wear. I could see some smaller waist people not being able to get it tight enough to stay up completely without drooping a little bit. It fit me pretty good right at the smallest setting which is okay because grandma really likes to use this and is a bigger help to her anyways. The whole thing is nice quality. I like that the seat has rubber grippers on it so it helps my kid stay better in place without sliding off so easily. I also like the pocket to store any small items or valuables. I wish the buckle was black like the rest of the seat so it isn’t so noticeable that you are wearing something. It does help alleviate a lot of the child’s weight. Overall, this is an effective, cost efficient way to save strain on your back and arms which is priceless because kids are freaking heavy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I'm a big hipped woman since I've had my baby so I'm not back to my original weight leaving me at a size 19/20. If you're over 18, this won't fit unless you move it around your stomach above your hips. However, it still holds pretty strong and helps lower back pain from holding baby on my hip all the time. I'd sacrifice working my core to prevent back pain, haha. It even has a little pocket to hold pacifiers/small toy/phone and an adjustable strap if you're a smaller waist. Doesn't feel cheaply made. I like but I wish it could be adjusted for some plus size ladies.

This is one of my new favorite baby products! Every mom is always looking for another arm or hand, and this carrier does the trick when you don’t want a full front/back carrier. I was looking at the Tushbaby but this price point is wayyyy better and just as good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] love having this for my toddler that loves to be carried. it’s easy to put on and comfortable for both of us. good materials and easily adjustable. my only wish is that it was rated for higher weight - I know we could still get use out of this when it reaches max weight.

It’s sturdy with the foam insert, but without it you need to fill up the entire pocket for the seat to actually work as a seat, or it just collapses like a pouch. So the only real storage you get is from the small pocket. I was able to fit my car keys with no keychains and my iPhone 14 in it and they were snug. So if you want to go on a walk and need more storage then this may not work for you. I do like though, that I can now carry my baby without feeling like she could slip out of my arms any moment since she still doesn’t know how to sit on my hip, and she’s almost 19 lbs.

Wanted to love this, but it was too big. If you have a 27 inch waist or smaller, you won’t be able to get the belt small enough to use the carrier properly. I was basically still supporting my baby’s entire weight as the seat was drooping on me. I didn’t think I needed to look for sizing, and the box didn’t mention anything about minimum or maximum waist size. Other than sizing, product seemed to be made well.

So far I have really enjoyed using this while holding my baby! My son is a chunk and this has helped relieve back pain and it’s quick and easy to throw on.

As a busy mom of 3 it is so nice to have options to carry my youngest around. Now I can face her outwards without bending my back and put her on my hip without leaving so much. It feels secure and supportive with the Velcro and safety clasp. My 10 month old has needed to be held so much recently and she seems to like finally having her own seat! Can’t wait to bring it on our upcoming vacation.

This is a great tool for when you don’t want to commit to the front baby carrier for an outing! When I’m at the playground with my kids, I use the regalo baby hip carrier so that I can hold my youngest (without feeling his full weight 😅) and then easily set him down.

Purchased this for a trip that required airport trave with lots of standing and waiting. My child sat comfortable on the seat and was comfortable for me as well.

This was a great price and good quality. Can throw in my car and bring it with anywhere. Overall happy with my purchase.
