A: Hi - you just place the harp on the lamp, place the shade on top and secure with the finial. Very eary to do, takes only a minute or so.

It's a bit misleading, but partly on me because I should have read the description more closely. I disagree with other reviewers and find that because of the material they look a bit cheaper than I'd like, but again, given the price point I should have managed expectations because they were definitely affordable.
