I think these lamps are supposed to have a gold leaf look but in reality they appear to be flaked off spray painted junk. Seriously, the paint is flaking off and they are brand new out of the box. They look like props for a play…something that maybe looks okay from afar but super fake and junky up close. No idea how they have decent reviews. I guess that’s the look some people were wanting and are pleased with it. Lesson learned though. I’ll return them and spend more to get better quality.

I added a kitchen island and my previously installed overhead lighting wasn’t enough. I placed one lamp at each end of the counter and it was perfection. The shades added a touch of contrast to my cream cabinetry. Just the right amount of light and height.
