Q: How does the fabric hold up over time? Does it seem like it wears down quickly, or piles?

A: Velvet fabric do not fade easily. It would only do so if you expose it to direct sunlight. Hence, you can keep a velvet couch from fading if you avoid placing it near a big window.

I absolutely love my new bedroom couch! I shopped for a month before I settled on this one and I am so happy! It’s exactly what I was looking for! It’s so velvety and soft! The one piece seat (which I appreciate!) is a bit firm, but I love taking my naps on it. The color is exactly as pictured. My kids love reading on it! It was a bit hard for me to assemble, as I couldn’t wait for my hubby to get home from work. As soon as he got home, it took him less than half an hour!

For the price ($425), it's a decent little sofa. FYI, as other reviews mentioned, two of the bolt holes didn't line up and I had to drill a new hole. It still took a long time to get that particular bolt in place and tightened. But, once built, it looks super cute and is pretty comfy. It's a firm sofa, which I like, but if you're looking for soft cusions, this is not the sofa for you. I'm happy with it!
