Too difficult no game needs to be like that. Also very dark no humor at all. I recommend Aliens: Fire Team elite instead.

One of if not the only PS5 games that truly feels like it was made for next gen consoles. The graphics and The haptic feedback through the dual sense controller is superb. The game can be very frustrating and difficult at times but the environment and game mechanics have me hooked. Very fun! I cannot stop playing it even after dying over and over again.

This low quality space simulator is only relevant because its exclusive to PS. That’s it. This crappy “game” is one of the most generic entertainment i ever played. So don’t bother wasting your money.

I love this game - I didn't think I would but ended up loving it. It's a difficult game, but worth the agony you'll feel every time you die and have to start over. It's a beautiful game that had me intrigued, even after I ended it the first time. I recommend this game to anyone that enjoys a challenge.

This game is extremely hard, you will die a lot - hence, the name returnal. The game play is fast and smooth which makes up for the difficulty. The controls and ambient is fantastic, very immersive. Top notch graphics as well. This game is 100% skill, no hand holding, no story cut scenes shenanigans. Start game then instantly play. As you learn the enemy's pattern and the level layout, it will get easier. You will get good, you will.

    Best game for PS5

This is by far one of the best games out there right now. It is difficult and challenging, and that’s what makes this game fantastic. Play style is good, story is good, graphics are good, and when you actually beat the bosses you get a good feeling of accomplishment. If you’re looking for an easy game this is not it, if you’re looking for true challenging shooter game this is the game for you. Don’t give up. I promise you the feeling of beating the game is amazing!!

What a journey just amazing. The game play is addictive and it looks so beautiful on ps5. It is a very hard game and takes a little to get the hang of but when you do the game becomes Easier. I’m some on who plays on easy and medium but with game it has no setting it can whoop your butt at times but I promise the game play is so amazing it takes advantage of the duel-sense 5 haptic feedback. It took me a 154 hours as well as two play Throughs due to glitch Trophies to get the Platinum it has been fixed Since launch I’m doing a late review but to all my PlayStation family if you get the chance please give it a shot you won’t be disappointed.

3D metroidvania roguelite shooter that gives Dark Souls a run for its money on the difficulty scale. The action is awesome, the bosses ridiculous, the challenge immense - but way they tell the story sets it above the rest. You're just dropped into this world, no explanation, no understanding of what's going on, no hand holding - and it blends with the style of game perfectly. I can't put it down and I'm not very good at shooters. Highly recommended.

Outside of Astroworld I feel this game makes best use of the new Ps5 controller. This game looks great, handles very well, and is tough as nails. I’m not very good at hard games, but I’m digging this. It’s fun.

Needs a save feature if only for the frequent crashes.

It's a rougelite, so starting over on death is expected. Having NO reliable way to step away from a game that takes HOURS to complete and is prone to crashes however, is unacceptable. If you need to know that you'll have something to show for your time and effort, look elsewhere. This game doesnt care about respecting either of those things.

This game is pretty and fun while it building up your character. But expect to play hours and hours and then start from scratch. There isn’t a save system. Save your money. The game is buggy as well so even if you don’t die it will crash and you’ll start all over.

Fast, fluid, and challenging. If you like rogue like games, this one is by far the most challenging but rewarding experiences. Only hang up is the lack of saves, but otherwise a great game

This is a Rougelite. If you don't know what that means look it up. The people giving this bad reviews are clueless and don't know what a roguelite is or just didn't look into the game. It's very fun and challenging for people who like those kinds of games or are into souls like difficulty.

Don't get me wrong, I like this game and have enjoyed most of my time with it (minus the many bugs/crashes I've encountered, but it's not for everyone. Do some research prior to purchasing this for anyone/yourself. If the thought of dying and losing everything (after 1-4 hours of play) only to start from scratch with nothing frightens you, this isn't your game. I also think this game still needs a couple more months of patching to be fully baked and ready for prime time. As recent as yesterday, Housemarque released a broken patch. If you played the game after the patch, it would destroy your save file and you lost all progress and progress towards achievements. This game is very precise, even more demanding than any souls game I've platinumed. It asks a lot of a players time and investment into getting better, but is plagued by glitches and lack of any save points that will end 1/3rd of the cycles you start. I've been 4 hours in on the 3rd biome and then it crashed. You guessed it. I had to start over from scratch. Ive had amazing runs ruined by the fact that suddenly the doors wont open and you cant leave a room.

Don’t get me wrong returnal is an excellent game with INSANELEY good graphics but it is VERY difficult. It sort of plays games with your mind in the way that you don’t get to save anything and lose all progress after death. The gameplay is super satisfying with each bullet fired giving nice haptic feedback and even the rain can be felt through the controller. If you do not have at least 2 hours to play in a row at a time this game is not for you and if you are bad at games or rage easily also not for you. Story is pretty interesting but the gameplay is where the fun and satisfaction is.
