Although the scent is pretty strong but there isn’t really any dyes that don’t have a scent.

I could not get into my stylist for a couple months and I use this in between and it did not damage my hair at all. They also usually have a horrible smell, but this one did not bother me at all. It blended great covering the gray and leaving it silky smooth. The whole process was fairly easy, the smell wasn't over powering, and it rinsed out pretty easy.
