This cord is used to charge the battery of the Ring Spotlight Cam Pro Battery. I set up the camera on my front porch and it tells be when a person is near. The pictures are clear. I can talk to the person with the camera. The ability to specify the areas is great too. It doesn’t pick up and unnecessarily movement like trees blowing in the wind. The Birds Eye view is really nice too, you can see which direction the movement is coming from.

The picture and sound are clear and the spot light is awesome when coming home late, it light up the driveway. Being new to Rign products I was even more impressed that they give you the first 30 days of monitoring and recording free. The app is also super easy to use and allow us to keep an eye on our property easily. Great product and we can't wait to add more.

It's hard to retrofit something like this to plug in without putting a hole in your house that allows air leakage or is at least not an eyesore. Of course I wish the battery lasted longer. I also wish this weren't locked into just the ring ecosystem, but that was known from the get go. The camera gives good image quality and peace of mind.

The difference between the two is that this has a bright spotlight, makes a siren to scare people away, and better 3D night vision. This spotlight helps us to be able to see our dogs at night time and not have to worry about any coyotes coming for our animals. You do need to purchase one or two batteries for the spotlight camera, it does not come with it, but definitely worth purchasing. Quality of video is perfect. The siren is loud enough to scare anyone away. It was very easy to install in 5 minutes. The cabel that it comes with is very long, the bracket is high quality, two way talk is very clear, and the picture and video is perfect view! You can use it wireless with the batteries, or you can use it wired with the long cord. I high reccomend getting a ring camera. You can also hook it up to your alexa as well!

You can talk through the camera and the person can respond back, the sound quality is great. By having the live view you can see exactly what is happening as if you were home watching yourself. I love that I can go back and review what happened and get notifications on my phone when there is activity. The lights at night make is really easy to see what is going on and you can turn them on right through the app when you log in to view what’s going on. Install was quick and easy, my husband had it mounted and up and running in less than 45 minutes. I highly recommend for any family looking for a security camera.

I am using the Spotlight Cam to view our backyard, so we have views of both front and back now. I chose the battery-operated model so it would be easier to move it around and select the best location. Linking the Spotlight Cam to my Ring app was easy. Setting up a perimeter for it was easy, too. And it does a good job of detecting motion, from small animals to people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ring Spotlight Cam Pro has been a great addition to our home and existing Ring cameras. Installation and setup were easy with the provided instructions, and the Ring app which walks you through the process. If you are new to Ring you will need to download the app, which is free and user-friendly. I installed this camera over my garage door so that I could monitor the driveway and garage area of my home. Since this camera is a plug-in version I was able to conveniently plug it in via a standard plug just inside of the garage door and tuck the excess cable cord inside of the garage to give it a neat appearance. Once installed, I was able to easily customize the settings to my liking such as motion sensitivity, alerts, lights, video settings, etc. This spotlight cam is very unique in features compared to other basic security cameras; it has 3D motion detection, Bird's Eye View, two-way talk, and a security siren just to name a few. I love that I can monitor my surroundings remotely via the Ring app on my smartphone any time day or night. The color night vision and 1080 HDR video quality provide clear images even at nighttime. The two LED spotlights provide adequate lighting and can be set to come on with motion, programmed on a schedule, have adjustable brightness, and you can turn them off and on manually if you prefer. There is a small monthly fee associated with the use of Ring depending on what type of subscription you choose that lets you review, share, and save video and photos captured by your device, but it is optional and you get a 30-day free trial when you register a new device. Also, this Ring Spotlight Cam Pro model is a plug-in style but has the option for a rechargeable battery, but the battery pack is sold separately so keep that in mind just in case the power goes out in your home you won't be able to continue recording/monitoring if that happens. I have had nothing but great experiences with this spotlight cam and it has given me peace of mind knowing that whether I am home or away I can depend on it to keep me informed of what is going on outside of my home. I highly recommend this camera.

I purchased a Wi-Fi extender to help with the connection as it was a little wonky without it. Install was super easy. First Install the ring app on your phone, add device and select the camera you have and follow the instructions there after & BOOM! You have an excellent exterior camera. I don't know about you but, I like that added security of knowing who is coming and going around my house! The sensor light is actually pretty bright and lights up a pretty far distance. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of this little dude.

Unfortunately with it being winter here, it took me a bit longer to install it outside and in an area where I have no light in my backyard. Install was quick and easy. The set up to my smart phone was also super simple and I was able to get going in less than an hour. The quality of image I receive from this camera is amazing and I can see a fairly wide angle with it.
