The battery lasts quite a while, but having an extra one doesn't hurt. It really helps because sometimes I'm alone and can't (really shouldn't for safety) get to the door. Being able to speak (with clear audio and visual) to the visitors or know when deliveries come is very helpful. My husband likes being able to watch the house when he's gone. You can't go wrong with Ring.

The video quality is great and not grainy at all. I love how it automatically starts recording when it detects movement. I use this for the side of my house by the gate. So far it has stood up well to the elements and seems very durable.

    Wifi problem

    I love it but since it disconnected from WiFi I try reconnecting and it’s say it can’t because it requires 2.4 WiFi and I have 5g ???? But I had that since 1 year ago , help? Do I need to get a new one or is too old?

The Ring Battery Doorbell requires an 802.11 b/g/n wifi connection at 2.4 GHz and a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps for optimal performance. If your 2.4 GHz band and 5 GHz band share the same wireless network name (SSID), we recommend reaching out to your internet service provider to change the name of your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands so you can tell them apart easily. This will allow you to select the 2.4 GHz band during the in-app setup process. We invite you to reach out to our community if any additional information is needed regarding your question.
