submitted byJustin - 6 months agoTarget expert supportA: Hi KaylaMD. Thank you for your question. The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro is designed with the Color Night Vision feature to add color to video in low light for improved clarity and motion detection. We suggest following these steps in the Ring app to ensure that the Color Night Vision feature is enabled for your doorbell: Open the Ring app. Tap the Menu (☰). Tap Devices. Select the device you want to adjust. Tap Device Settings. Tap Video Settings. Toggle Color Night Vision on or off. For more information on troubleshooting issues with the Color Night Vision feature, please visit this link: https://ring.com/support/articles/83hut/Turning-Color-Night-Vision-On-or-Off-in-the-Ring-App. The Ring Chime Pro is designed to help extend your wifi to Ring devices at the same location. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI. We recommend following the instructions in this article to find a location where it gets a strong wifi signal from your router, and is able to extend this to your Ring doorbell: https://ring.com/support/articles/sb470/Using-the-Chime-Pro-Placement-Test-to-Optimize-Wifi. Insufficient power to the device may cause issues with video quality and the Night Vision feature. We have included a link here to an article on our website with information on troubleshooting power issues for the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro: https://ring.com/support/articles/h9wqz/Troubleshooting-Insufficient-Power-Issues-Ring-Wired-Doorbell-Plus-and-Wired-Doorbell-Pro. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. For more information on troubleshooting poor video quality, please visit this link: https://ring.com/support/articles/qmv6i/Troubleshooting-Poor-Video-Quality.
