Q: Can this be used in cold water to dye polyester Sherpa?
A: No - all Rit Dyes need to be used with hot water. All Purpose is for natural fibers like cotton, linen, raymie, rayon, silk, wool... DyeMore for synthetic is for anything with 35% or more polyester, acrylic or acetate. This is recommended high temperature on stove top. Check out the website for instructions - we have dyed a Shrepa jacket!

Q: Could I dye my lazy boy recliner? and if so, about how many bottles do you think?
A: If the cover can be removed and it is a natural fabric (like cotton, linen, silk or wool), then yes you can dye it. We recommend one bottle per two pounds of fabric.

Q: Is this product safe for very small dog(3lbs.)when use for the spotted carpet area?
A: The product is considered non-toxic. However, it is not meant to be consumed.

Q: Can dye be used on leather
A: Yes, Rit can be used on leather. However, please be careful as it can cause damage. We suggest not adding any extra salt and do not over treat. Also, it would be helpful to apply a leather conditioner immediately after dyeing.
