Robo Fish Robotic Swimming Pets Fish Tank Playset by ZURU

I bought this for my grandson as we have other robo toys that he loves. Yes, this fish does swim, but it does NOT change color. We put it in cold water as the directions stated. Nothing happened. This was disappointing and in my opinion, amounts to false advertising. For this reaso, it wasn't worth the full price.

Do not buy. Fish only lasts for a short period of time then you are left with a bowl of water and a mess

You can’t leave the fish in the water. Removing the fish makes the sand break apart because of the water moving around

I brought this for my grandson. He loves it. That is all that counts.

Stopped working after 1 day

If you’re looking for a product that does as advertised, this is not the toy for you. If you want a plastic bowl of water with yellow algae and a motionless fish, then go for it.

Just a waste of $, the fish only last a couple of hours.

The fish never worked. Very disappointed.

The sand does not hold shape, and the fish worked for a day.

It was fun for the first couple of days. The sand is not able to be sculpted as advertised. The fish are cute and swim-we even bought a turtle-but the batteries die quickly-two days. I am on the hunt for batteries now. I would not spend the money. It just didn’t last long enough. If you are into short lived toys-go for it. I do recommend the Robo fish and turtles to swim in the bathtub… Because bath-time only lasts for a little while and once a day so the batteries don’t die as quickly.

My son was so excited for this and it’s been a let down. The sand does not work like advertised and the fish does not work that well.

Bowl is flimsy. Sand is supposed to be reusable but almost impossible to get out of the water once you put it in.

Was really cute at first and we liked it so much we went back and got more fish… 2-3 weeks into having it , it never worked again.

Fish was actually okay. Sand is absolutely awful and I would not recommend using it. It’s impossible to reuse and with all the warnings about the sand in the instructions, I’m feeling pretty sure we don’t want this going down the drain. Do not recommend using the sand at all!!

I bought three fish separately, not the fish bowl. But all I can say is wow. Got them for three year old brother and he loved them. They work so well and are really realistic. You can't really interact with them, but their really fun to watch. We also use them for bath toys. Recommend.

Amazing gift , my son is 5 and received it for Christmas and it has been a hit in my house. Only thing is after a while you will need to take the out of the water , dry it off and put it back in the water and slow to start back up.

Not sure what everyone else is talking about but my (just barely) 4 year old absolutely loves the present Santa brought her! I bought this set which comes with one fish. I also purchased a set of 2 fish and a set of 2 turtles off of another online retailer. We have had zero issues with our robo pets…and she has been playing with it pretty much hourly for the past 4 days. DISLIKES: 1) Yes, the “sand” is silly and I dumped it out Christmas night. It’s absolutely unnecessary and really just messy…but you can put rocks or fish tank gravel in the bottom if you have it. Otherwise just keep it clean with fresh water daily. 2) Now I haven’t examined them thoroughly but I imagine once the batteries die there’s no option but to replace the fish/turtles entirely. Which isn’t great as far as cost or waste is concerned, but I’m thinking of glueing magnets to the pets when they die and using them for a fishing toy. Waste not want not. And I figure when I give them the option of grabbing an inexpensive toy while I’m shopping she can always pick up a new pet. LIKES: 1) The bowl is large so that it doesn’t tip! I’m not sure why one reviewer complained about the size. That seems counterintuitive to complain about not giving a child a small bowl of water to dump over. The rim on the fish bowl keeps the water from sloshing out. It’s super easy to clean by swirling hot water and dish soap. 2) The swimming animals are cute and the different colors allows for her to easily name them (Nemo, Dori, Marlin, Crush and Squirt). The pets don’t have any sharp edges and the swimming motion is gentle so I don’t have any worries about her getting injured. 3) HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT and creative play! It’s the first thing she wants to do in the morning and last thing she does at night. We even have pretend food so she learns about pet care and talk about cleaning the tank regularly.
