I have yet to watch a live program where it works from start to finish. Stalls, hiccups or simply quits. Upgraded everything possible, to no avail and customer service? I got tired of the phone calls and went in to the service shop and waited in line with the others, many with the exact same issue. I will stop now as my point has been made.

We purchased the new Roku to replace an old one we had. The old one was starting to have intermittent issues. A couple of times a week we would have to unplug the old one from power source and re-plug. Never quit working but the hassle of unplugging and re-plugging became more than the cost of a new one.

I've had a roku for years. Awesome streaming device. Great features easy to navigate. Now why I got rid of all of them. I removed all of 5 roku ultras. Why? Ads on home screen. I like a clean seamless home screen with no ads. Apparently roku does not give customers the option to remove annoying ads on the home screen. I got rid of cable because of ads. Now ads are everywhere with no free option to remove them. I no longer use any streaming device. I will not recycle my old rokus. My 10 lb sledge hammer will take care of that. Roku, if you want me back. Remove all the ad banners on your devices. Otherwise I'm going with a firestick. And buying my family amazon fire sticks for their tvs as well. As they do not push ads down my throat.

I have several Roku’s & use Fire TV for my elderly Dad as it integrates with his Alexa. I find the Roku so much better, easier to control & customize & the Ultra is the best model with its built-in headphone plug in the remote. I also love that I’ve only just had to replace the original Roku I bought like 10+ years ago, nice that you let the consumer get a good lifespan before upgrading past the point of functionality.

Pretty poor upgrade over the old Roku Ultra I purchased in 2021.little bit faster UI but were 6 months past launch and almost all the apps I use to watch sports have terrible motion issues. Sports look terrible on Max, Prime Video, Peacock, and Apple TV apps. On demand content looks great, but anything live is a slog fest looking like 30 fps. No other Roku device in my house has these issues. Raising the white flag on this particular device. Its gone into a spare bedroom.
