Wish I thought to return it before throwing it away but I was so grossed out when I first opened it to make a sandwich that throwing it out was my first instinct. This is the second time I’ve bought good & gather lunch meat and it continues to have this thick, sticky gelatin coating it, making it inedible and unappetizing. Never buying it again.

I buy a lot of Target's brands and like most of their stuff. That being said, this one was revolting. I usually buy the Oscar Mayer deli chicken, and let me tell you it's worth the extra money in this case. This one is thick cut, although they say its "ultra thin" there's nothing thin about it, let alone ultra. It's alao very salty, slimy just overall tastes bad. It was properly sealed and in date. No one got sick. So I'm assuming that's just how this is- made me gag.

I try to limit my processed meats but when I do buy them do my best to not only get ones that taste good but are as healthy as I can, as in no preservatives, nitrates, or other fillers. I love my boars head products but that is a bit pricey, and as far as other brands go I have found Hillshire farm and the Good & Gather brand to be the only ones that my family and I enjoy that are still nitrate and preservative free. Comparing to other grocery store brands the Good & Gather is the only one we will continue to buy. As for the chicken, all I can say is it tastes good and I like that it is thin sliced.

Employees should check expiration date before selecting the item for a drive up. They gave a me one that expired the day I picked it up so when I actually opened it already had mold

Tastes good but they roll the slices so they stick together it’s hard to get the slices out. If you want to eat half the container at a time, go ahead and buy this one. Otherwise, find another brand.

I needed to grab something for lunch and picked up a package of Good & Gather sliced chicken breast. It is delicious. The price was very affordable for 1 lb when compared to the grocery store deli counter. The meat is sliced thin and comes in two sealed packs of 1/2 lb each. The package says to consume within 7 days of opening... but I don't think it will be around that long... it tastes that good! Very pleased. Looking forward to trying the rest of the meats.
