A: Hi CathyJo - Thank you for shopping with us! This toy is not made in China. This toy is manufactured in Vietnam. Happy shopping! - Melissa

Q: Hello; Is this durable for a big super chewer?
submitted by Sofrol - 4 years ago
A: In my experience, yes. I have two pit bulls and it takes a while for them to rip pieces off. This toy has survived for weeks without being ripped and then for months in two large pieces.

Q: Is this a toy for dogs that chew a lot? Is it durable?

Great for mini labradoodles! My mini labradoodle is very rough with her toys, typically spreading them to pieces! This is the one toy she hasn’t yet! It allows her to chew until her little heart is content! She even plays tug-of-war with her big boy whom is a 100lb black lab! Highly recommend for chewers and tug-of-war players!

Have bought 3 of these for my 5 dogs. They love to chew and play tug. Just be careful they don’t swallow the pieces

This toy is the offender of a $6000 intestinal blockage emergency surgery for my 2 year old dog. I am returning to the store I bought the toy from to read the packaging. I am usually pretty diligent about not buying toys that are labeled not for chewing/not for aggressive chewing/etc., and I don’t recall the packaging of this toy saying that. However, I could be remembering wrong, so I will fact check myself on that. I see the product description here states it, but someone shopping in store has no way of knowing if it’s not explicitly labeled on the packaging, which I hope for the safety of other dogs, it is. I’ve seen multiple reviews on here of other dogs suffering the same issue. It is a costly and dangerous one! We are very grateful and blessed that we were in tune to our dog’s abnormal behavior and our intuitions to get him checked, as it could have been fatal had we not. Please avoid if your dog is a big chewer - maybe avoid even if they aren’t as this toy breaks off super easily and could be swallowed before you even realize.

Do not buy this toy! It is NOT durable and caused my parents 8 month old puppy to have to get an emergency operation to remove a portion of the toy from her intestines!!! Buyer beware!!!!

This toy has outlasted all other brands including Kong & those advertised for bullies. This bone lasted about 4 months before our German Shepard ripped a chunk off. Would buy again!

DO! NOT! BUY! This toy is NOT durable!! My dog swallowed a chunk from this toy and it caused a bowel obstruction/perforation. She needed emergency surgery which costed $3,500. Without the surgery she would have gone septic and died. STOP SELLING THIS TOY! I have seen another review saying the same thing! My photo is the toy in a specimen bag from after surgery!

Please quit selling this toy. My English bulldog got a piece off and it causes a bowel obstruction. When a piece comes off and stays wet it softens up and expands. $3500 surgery and we almost lost her

This is another favorite for our Australia Shepard. She runs around the house with it. She loves to chew on it. She has started pulling small pieces off of it but it’s taken a while for that to happen. We will keep this a little while longer and once she starts really destroying it we will buy another. She hunts for it specifically in the toy box

This is my dog’s favorite toy. He chews on it a lot and he is a pitbull. He usually destroys most toys pretty quick, but he’s kept this one for a while.

I have a lab/pit and toys usually don’t last longer than 30 minutes before they’re destroyed. I bought this 7 months ago and somehow it is her ONLY toy that is still 100% in tact. I just bought the Boots & Barkley fish toy too, and it seems just a sturdy. Please never stop making these!

My dog loves this. Definitely not good if your dog eats toys- he’s managed to chew off one end but he doesn’t swallow it. He does chase us around the house with this and beats us with this. 7/10

Dog loves the texture of this toy but it’s not for heavy chewers. Within in 30 minutes of playing and chewing on it she broke off one end.

Durable yet almost a springy rubber that is not a super hard toy to chew, great for teething pups or dogs that aren't aggressive chewers. Larger toy, but still a suitable size for my 30lb mini Goldendoodle and my 12lb mini Sheepadoodle puppy.

Our puppy (6 months) had the tip off one end in less than 5min. Thankfully we were watching as she was trying to choke down a piece.
